Recommended Groups/Resources

The Proofreader Group -- As long as you read the rules and are willing to vet people before asking them, this group is a fantastic resource for writers of all types.

The Big Master Review List -- A list of all reviewed stories with links to those reviews. It is maintained by Singularity Dream. Obviously such a list can never be truly complete, but SD does a fantastic job maintaining it. This is a great resource, whether you are an author, reviewer, or reader.

"If Titanium Dragon is the final boss of Fimfiction, cleverpun is the optional boss that's even harder to beat!" — Horse Voice

"You're hard mode. Or maybe I'm hard mode and you're nightmare difficulty, where there are demonic spiders lurking around every corner and you only get one heart." — Titanium Dragon

"Clever is Applejack. Honest, blunt and to the point, with little patience for clunky sentences or cheesy attempts at poetry. It's very easy to get into an argument with her, but she's usually right." — Midnight Rambler

The Worst of my Stories

Improvement is inevitable, and that means that not everything one writes is going to be good. This is a list of stories I wrote which are bad. Please start with stories besides the ones in this list. I could un-publish them, but even terrible writing has value sometimes. I could do better now, but they are important reminders of how far I've come.

“It's hell writing and it's hell not writing. The only tolerable state is having just written.”

Some users may remember that one story I wrote about Nightmare Moon. You know, the one with the melodrama. Well, I'm happy to announce that there is now a new dramatic reading of it by ObabScribbler! Find it over here.

You're welcome, friend. You deserve it!

Of course, I like making others happy and give them a reason to smile. I especially like it when some say "I needed that", that makes me feel good. I just wanna be the light in people's lives. 😇

I'm flattered you took the time to look at my silly user page.

Heh, I was born the year Osmosis Jones came out (2001) and I didn't discover it till 2015 or so, XD
:rainbowlaugh:

Extremely underrated and one of my favorite films. 🤓

3009174 Thanks!

Based on your userpage, you have been spreading positivity for quite some time. I'm flattered that you took the time to stop by. :raritystarry:

And while your message is definitely positive, I'm also affected by your avatar. That is a nostalgia hit right there. I vaguely remember the movie and cartoon, and did not spare a thought for them between when I watched them and this moment. Twenty year-old nostalgia! :rainbowderp:

2821367 Will do! Can't wait, personally.

Your story actually coerced me into watching an episode of the show, something I have not done in ages.

The show changed a fair bit since when I joined in 2014, but I personally feel there are still some pretty cool eps that bring in some really fun concepts. No clue how other folks will take them, but every now and then I get really nice surprises like I did for Triple Threat, and I feel it's up to fanfic writers and content creators in general to hype up the good stuff when it happens. Otherwise, can hardly blame folks for getting bored, right?

Hope you enjoyed the episode, regardless!

2821326 I should be thanking you for writing such a wonderful story. I meant every word of my recommendation. Your story actually coerced me into watching an episode of the show, something I have not done in ages.

Stay tuned; I'm going to feature as many of the participants as possible in my review series. I still have more to say about your story in particular.

A common piece of writing advice is that to become a better writer, one should read a lot. There is truth to this, of course, depending on what one reads.
