Recommended Groups/Resources

The Proofreader Group -- As long as you read the rules and are willing to vet people before asking them, this group is a fantastic resource for writers of all types.

The Big Master Review List -- A list of all reviewed stories with links to those reviews. It is maintained by Singularity Dream. Obviously such a list can never be truly complete, but SD does a fantastic job maintaining it. This is a great resource, whether you are an author, reviewer, or reader.

Writers and Reviewers Institute for Technical Excellence -- I've had excellent experiences with reviewers from this group; they are thorough and don't pull any punches. Sadly, they appear to be inactive at this time

Taking Review Requests [OPEN] · 11:36am Jan 23rd, 2016

If [OPEN], I am accepting new requests. If [CLOSED], I am working on current requests (check back later )

If you follow me, then you are likely aware of my ongoing review series. In order to mix things up a little, I am now taking requests for stories to review. Like everything in life, there are some caveats:
*Only request reviews for one of your own stories.

The Best of my Stories

  • Blitzkrieg Poison Kills Assassins The ultimate action stallion ninja hero is back. In this critically acknowledged sequel, everypony's favorite demolitions expert must confront his old mentor. …And this time…it's poisonal… by cleverpun 2,921 words · 1,385 views · 102 likes · 8 dislikes
  • Pictures of Lily After purchasing a pin-up calender, Fluttershy learns that crushes don't always turn out quite the way you pictured. by cleverpun 3,641 words · 3,846 views · 255 likes · 11 dislikes
  • I Am Not the Actor After one of Pinkie's clones wins the paint-watching test, she slowly finds that "being yourself" is never as simple as it sounds. Especially when everypony has a different idea about who you are, and who you should be. by cleverpun 23,773 words · 8,288 views · 634 likes · 31 dislikes
  • If You Came to Conquer Nightmare Moon won. She defeated Celestia, broke the Elements, banished the sun. This all happened a very long time ago. So long ago, that she has had plenty of time to change her mind. Not that fixing it will be simple. by cleverpun 5,920 words · 16,506 views · 1,617 likes · 21 dislikes
  • “Princest Is Wincest,” It Said Luna reread the graffiti, but it came no closer to making sense. “Princest Is Wincest,” it said. It was confusing enough to be offensive; did nopony spell correctly anymore? Perhaps Tia would be able to explain it. by cleverpun 4,588 words · 16,365 views · 1,729 likes · 27 dislikes

The Worst of my Stories

Improvement is inevitable, and that means that not everything one writes is going to be good. This is a list of stories I wrote which are bad. Please start with stories besides the ones in this list. I could un-publish them, but even terrible writing has value sometimes. I could do better now, but they are important reminders of how far I've come.

“It's hell writing and it's hell not writing. The only tolerable state is having just written.”

My First Collab: What I learned and Lessons for Next Time · 11:27pm November 29th

Well, the collab I cobbled together is finally fully posted. I want to say thank to everyone who participated; thanks not just for participating, for putting up with my blunt and occasionally obtuse criticisms, but also for sticking it through and finishing it. I never expected the response I got, and I think that, together, we made a story greater than a single author could have.
