When your life is as dull a gray as the world that surrounds you, the mundanities can make it all seem meaningless. Sometimes all we need is a little color -- or six -- to reintroduce us to what truly makes life worth living.

Daylight. What an ironic name for a blind pony. Ugh.. Yeah, that's me. Nothing's really special about me, except I'm enrolled at Canterlot Magic Academy, I'm picked on a lot, and, well.. I'm legally blind. I'm different. The other ponies don't exactly cope with it.. Except for one.. Twilight Sparkle.

This isn't where I belong. I left all this behind years ago, moved on with my life. But a mare from my past brought me back, and now she won't let me go. So I'm stuck here, trying to make the best of it with ponies that don't understand me, don't even like me. But when something moves in the darkness, and when things go wrong in the cold, dead night, they'll turn to me to try to set things right.

Why? Because once a police pony, always a police pony.

There is now a side-story: A Hard Day's Nightmare Night

When I lost my sight, I became a recluse. I hid away, staying in my own world instead of out in the one meant for those with sight. But when Princess Celestia had me move to Ponyville, I had to adjust to a new walk of life, again intended for those with sight. I guess I'm doing okay, thanks to a certain pegasus mare whose kindness and gentle voice got through to me where everyone else has failed.

It had been a very nice day. Ponies worked, played and laughed. Wherever you looked all was well. The young pony, recently given the title of 'Princess' was just sitting out enjoying what life had to offer. Then everything changed, and it did so with a cube...

Lost in a plane completely foreign to her, Twilight Sparkle must use her skills as a leader to guide a whole town to safety. Now is the time the young Alicorn must prove her worth as a leader. Over a thousand ponies are lost to an unforgiving, eternally unchanging world. Can she save them all?

By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.

A young human girl runs away from home with her best friend, and finds herself much further from home than she ever expected. Her arrival in Equestria will cause ripples that affect ponies from the lowest to the highest.

Thomas Curry is a young boy born in 2057. Since birth, the fickle game of birth struck him with the sad fate of paraplegia. For all of his childhood, he's spent his life bound to a wheelchair, his eyes locked to the sky, and his heart and mind going to places he only wish he could go. So, as Equestria continues to encroach upon the planet, and money begins to accumulate in his nuclear family's income, Tommy is faced with a choice: Will he risk life, limb, and legal tender to repair his cursed legs, or will he sacrifice it all and become a pony?

After being marooned on an icy world in unexplored space, Lumina must now face the perils of this frozen wasteland and search for some way home. But in this dark place, she discovers something that was lost to pony kind ever since the fabled Equestria sank into the ocean over 10,000 years ago. Something that will change her, and possibly the entire galaxy, forever.

Not a cross over, and not an alternate universe. This is the far future, and this has happened before.
