Link wakes up in the middle of a field outside of Ponyville. He has no idea of how he got there--last he remembers he was in Hyrule.
But with barely an explanation, he's plunged into a crazy adventure with his newfound friends--an adventure that will save Equestria.

A good story lets you immerse yourself into the world it creates. A great story is one you don't even realize you're in until it's over. But what about the stories where the characters come to life?

...Literally.

How about one that's a little more than just a story.

A tale of a human who has found himself in an unfamiliar world, years off in technology from his own, in a town called Canterlot... but not that Canterlot.

Jacket was definitely someone you'd miss in public, no one would care if he just disappeared from the face of Equestria but that doesn't hurt him. Nothing can hurt him anymore, no one could hurt him anymore, and even then he doesn't care about anything.

Does he even care about himself?

As Jacket keeps looking over his shoulder in fear, the guilt, the blood he's spread, the lives he's taken are clouding his mind. And as much as Jacket tries to deny his emotions, his remorse, he cannot take it anymore. Without the masks giving him the personalities he need, all he is is a mute, timid colt with nothing to lose but his undeserving life.

As he tries to adjust to a life outside of bloodshed and mental breaks, he does one last job. That is, until one leap of faith into the neon soaked blood bath is going to flip his entire spectrum of reality upside down as he continues to look over his shoulder, and look deeper into his mind and solve the question that's been on his subconscious.

Is he enjoying killing other ponies?

A great cataclysmic event is upon Equestria. Soon, all of the planet will be consumed in fire and death. Ponykind's only hope is to send Celestia's dearest student and her friends to an entirely new world and use the Elements of harmony to establish a link and help Equestria escape. But even with a formidable Royal Guard escort and the power of the Elements of Harmony, the chances of success are slim to none. But even the slimmest chance of survival is always preferable to certain death.

On Earth, Lance Corporal David Beckett of the USMC, a devoted husband and expectant father, just wants to survive his tour of duty in the Israeli/Syrian War and get home. Unfortunately, it won't be that simple.

While Twilight Sparkle plans her grand Friendship Festival, Tempest Shadow diligently plans out her invasion of Equestria's capital city. While she is confident in her own abilities as well as those of her troops, she's taking no risks. Before departure, she requests one of the Storm King's most capable and devious units. Creatures, who like her, were promised something for their service.

They're out of job, out of ammo, and out of New Mexico.

When machine replaced their job, they retaliate the only way they could. Shoot 'em all. Like any other plan made by their helmeted friend. It backfires. The flames burned them to another problem, and another land. A land that shares similarities to their Badlands. Dead trees, scorched sand, and exchange of gunfire. Equestrian Wasteland.

There, they walk a road to intervene an old grudge. The same hatred that sent the realm they reside into the hellhole it is now.

Ponies are enslaved. Humans are in control.

Nolan Anderson didn't want to be whisked away to a land full of discrimination and judgement. Yet he was there anyway. He just wanted to get by another day in his own world, no matter the hardships. Being a part of S.W.A.T. meant being the best he could be with what he could do. Little did he know he would apply his skills in a magical world, where the ponies think he's an evil human, and where the humans think he's a pony sympathizer. As crazy as everything is, Nolan wants to get back home, a feat that seems impossible, even in a world full of magic. However, the difficulty won't be getting back to where he belongs, but finding allies in a place where trust is rarely given, and earning it still.

I have never been a part of S.W.A.T., nor have I done extensive research on it. I have only taken a quick look at some procedures, weaponry, and armor for the purposes of this story. If you find something that doesn't seem right, please let me know. Also note I have taken a few liberties with how S.W.A.T. works that I will not change.

Long ago, the Seraphim granted power to the Doom Slayer that he might conquer the forces of Hell. The Doom Slayer has won, Hell lies defeated, and now he returns to the Seraphim's holy realm. His mission is not over though, he has promises to fulfill, rewards to collect, and as always, evil to defeat. Let those who would harm this sacred land tremble, for the Guardian of Equestria, has returned!

War. Noun. (1) : a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state.

"Soldiers are always preparing to fight the previous war" is a saying that is common amongst those of military profession. Equestria has not seen a war on her own soil in several hundred years. As such, would she be prepared for when such a thing happens? Of course not.

Battling the griffons and the minotaurs has been a challenge due to lack of experience. Fortunately, her armies adapted and started to hold her own. That was, until Tirek returned and aided in the fight to defeat Equestria. To keep his friends safe, Discord successfully defeated Tirek and sealed him away. The cost of fighting Tirek? Dying. Knowing that he would die, Discord summoned several creatures to protect his friends. These creatures, never seen before in Equestria, are very familiar with the concept of war.

This world has experienced their second industrial revolution and Equestria is at war, a World War, the first this world has seen. Equestria and her citizens have a lot to learn if they want to see the end of this conflict with their culture and way of life preserved.

Two hundred years before the reunification of the three pony tribes, it was a curse to be born an Earth Pony. The Unicorn nobility ruthlessly taxes and subjugate them, while Pegasus marauders mercilessly raid towns and villages under the 'protection' of Pegasopolis. However, when a mysterious creature wielding ungodly powers saves a village from a Pegasus raid, the Earth Ponies finally see a way to break free of the vicious cycle and earn their freedom and equality.

Else where, a young man finds himself cast into a foreign world after an encounter with the spirit of chaos, armed with nothing but his newly bought handgun along with two magazines' worth of ammunition. However, he realized that the world he found himself in is far more complicated than he could ever imagine and that he must act to help the oppressed or forever live with a guilty conscience.

An experimental story trying to train my pacing a little, and hoping to create a HiE story with a more meaningful theme than just 'Find Mane 6 and live in Ponyville'. Big thanks to Garzeel_ for prereading! Hope you guys enjoy it!
