Evil is as evil does. Therefore, King Sombra is a monster, and there's no debating it. So when Sombra is discovered alive it should be obvious that he's up to nothing good and needs to be taken down... So why isn't he doing anything? Twilight Sparkle is sent in to try to answer this question by talking to him, while she also tries to determine what the future will hold for the ex-king. Is there even a chance for Sombra's future? Or is the shadow of his actions destined to destroy him?

Pinkie decides to prank Sombra on April Fools just to poke some fun at him, but her plan backfires when his reaction isn't what she thought it'd be.

While Pinkie is walking around Ponyville with Sombra, who she is tasked to watch over until he is reformed, she sees a pony has recently moved into Ponyville without her previous knowledge. So, Pinkie does the only thing she sees fit- she greets the pony with a crazy amount of confetti and cake batter. In doing so, she ruins his clothes and has to take him shopping at Carousel Boutique.

This is a spin-off of RainbowBob's Feeling Pinkie Mean, the first SombraPie story to grace this site. Give proper credit where needed and go favorite his series, and a follow wouldn't hurt, either.

Following his tumultuous defeat, King Sombra is flung across space and time to exit out a human's malfunctioning toaster. For weeks, Sombra monologues his revenge to destroy those that hurt him. But seven months later, when a route back to Equestria is found, does he not seem all that interested in returning.

The Crystal Empire was saved. Sombra was cast away via the Crystal Heart's bright light. The battle had been won, however, there were some unfinished business between the King and the Princess of the Night. She wished to see him. Speak to him one last time. She wanted to finally let go and speak what was in her heart. Though perhaps, it was already too late.

After getting blasted by a wave of happiness, Sombra wakes up months later with a completely different personality and is forced to live with the memories of what he did and what he was. However, with a little patience, and a lot of help, maybe he can change that, and become something a bit better.

This story is a sequel to Before the Dawn

Over 1,000 years ago, King Sombra took hold of the Crystal Empire and cast a curse upon it and its ponies. Luna and Celestia mourned the fall of the Empire and blamed themselves for failing its inhabitants.

Years later, the Crystal Empire has returned, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends have been sent off to free it from the evil clutches of King Sombra. But not everypony is in support of Twilight's mission. Luna remembers Sombra as he was before the evil Nightmist took hold of him and turned him into an evil tyrant. It is she who wishes to go to the Empire and save him if at all possible.

But Celestia will not allow it.

Now, as the ponies celebrate the Empire's freedom, Luna dream walks to ease the ache in her heart. In her ethereal form, however, she feels a presence in the distance and knows that she must follow it no matter where it leads...

If Twilight Sparkle had her way, she would never use the dark magic of King Sombra again.

Fate is not her friend. A new discovery in the Frozen Wastes outside the Crystal Empire has drawn her into a new adventure. When King Sombra returns to claim the throne of not just the Empire, but Equestria itself, Twilight is tested to her fullest.

Spike finds himself in the middle of a growth spurt. Rainbow Dash is missing. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Fluttershy are being pursued by timberwolves. All across Equestria, Sombra’s influence is felt.

The solution to Twilight’s problem may be found in Equestria’s history, if that doesn't just open up a tide of new issues. Can even the Elements of Harmony stop Sombra this time?

Prequel/Side Story: Fathers

With his dark past heavy on his mind, Sombra is put to the test as he begins a reformation process. Though his thoughts are clearer and no longer crowded with the influence of dark magic, his heart is none the lighter. Will Pinkie's motto of "Giggle at the Ghosties" be enough to turn a tyrant good? Or Will Sombra succumb to the power of dark magic once more? But more importantly, will the reason for his tyrannical rule finally come to light?

Inspired by a series of one shots and the very popular "Feeling Pinkie Mean", though with a more serious undertone.
