"Is this all of it?" the taxi driver asked.

"Yes, thank you sir," I responded and tipped the stallion.

With a tip of his hat, he pulled his cart and was gone. Leaving me and Amber alone in the Crystal Square.

"Just this way," the blue crystal pony that I love started trotting away, and I followed her.

"Hey Rose!" she exclaimed seeing a fellow Crystal pony."

"Amber!? Is that you?!" the crystal pony approached and looked at Amber.

Of course, during all of this, I was utterly confused.

"Yeah!"

"You're not gloomy anymore! What happened?"

"Well, I got together with an old friend." she smiled and gestured toward me.

"That's great Amber, well I have to go. See you around!"

"Bye Rose Quartz!"

Well, that was weird...

"Oh, sorry that was my best friend, sorry I didn't introduce you, but...well..you know..."

"Yeah, I totally understand."

"I just don't think the Crystal ponies are ready just yet."

"You're right."

She smiled again. "C'mon, let's go to my place!"

We entered my house, and it all felt different...brighter, happier. Just having Sombra by my side was amazing.

"I remember these..." he pointed to some items on a shelf.

"Those," I laugh. "those are my gold mane and tail bands."

"I haven't seen you wear these since the incident at the marketplace."

"Yes."

"They're all dusty."

"I haven't worn them since then."

"Why?"

"I missed you,"

"Please put them on?"

"I'd love to." I smile and grab the golden tail ring and slip in rover my purple curly tail. I do the same with the mane piece.

"You look beautiful,"

"Thanks." I blush and look at the floor.

"I really missed you Amber,"

"I missed you too."

"All I thought about was you, and if I would ever see you again,"

"Me too."

At that moment we leaned into a kiss.

That night I didn't have a bad dream or any more visions of me beating and hurting Amber.

I was sitting in my cell, when se ran in and hugged me tightly.

"I really do love you Sombra."

"I love you too."

She guided me out of my prison, out of my heart ache. Not running form the past, but running toward the future.

Me and Amber left everything and started a life together.

That would be my future.
