Life was peaceful now that Midnight was gone… for most ponies. Sunny and her friends were taking care of Solaris and a baby dragon that Hitch had recently rescued. Everything seemed to get better… at least for the most part. Sunny could feel that there was something more to the magic in the world and the unity crystals… a bunch of new powers that were just waiting to be awakened. Little does she know… she’s not the only one.

Between an evil pony who wants to steal magic along with her team of highly trained assassins, Sunny having nightmares every night for a long time and becoming more and more like Midnight than she wants to admit… she’s in for the ride of her life. Princess Twilight Sparkle, now supreme ruler of Equestria, faces a personal mental health crisis that ultimately changes royal tradition for the better. At the same time, she takes a young unicorn named Luster Dawn under her wing and teaches her the magic of friendship just as she once herself was taught.

Discord have reset the timeline, after Sunlight and Moonlight requested him to do so. In this new timeline, major changes happened, roles are reversed and a new character takes the spotlight. Follow Sunset Shimmer as she is about to live adventures after adventures, fighting evil and enjoy some normality, in her hometown.

Sidenote: This story have no continuity with the previous one i wrote (Rise of a Hero) So if you have read the previous stories or not, it doesn't matter, because you don't need context to fully enjoy this new story.
