Not really a lot to say. I'm a real fan of the series and of any sort of crossover based on it. If you want to make fanart about any of my works, feel free.

When a terrorist cult attacks Canterlot City bent on abducting them, the Rainbooms find themselves dragged into a war in the shadows of the world as they’re rescued by an elite strike force comprised of the top men and women of the US Armed Forces – all of them Real American Heroes. As they fight to secure their freedom to return home safely, two questions linger in the Rainbooms’ minds – why are they being targeted? And when all else fails… will they?

GI Joe character minis - designed in Hero Forge - are all my own design, and the exact GI Joe story canon is my idea.

By the way, long as I'm here, why is there no G.I. Joe series tag on this site? Seriously.

Have you tried talking to the site admins and/or mods about adding one?

This looks to be an interesting G.I. Joe crossover story.

Well then.

YO JOE!

Literally NOBODY fucking cares, spambot :twilightangry2:.

Yeah. So far, I have to say, as one of the first known Equestria Girls/G.I. Joe crossovers, this is looking fairly good so far, with well done exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up.

And, yeah, if the main Equestria could get TWO crossovers (in the comics) with Transformers, why couldn't Equestria Girls get at least one crossover with G.I. Joe?

But, yes, very much looking forward to more of this.

Well, now, this was a rather enjoyable chapter properly introducing the girls and Spike to G.I. Joe. Again, really liked the work going into the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Particularly liked Sunset "revealing that whole serial number" deal as well as a couple of the Joes pointing out that they saw things from the girls like super-speed and gem construct creation. Hopefully, the girls will get a chance to show the Joes that they are pretty well equipped to help them against Cobra if they have sufficient additional information.

Anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

I don't like the Rainboom's cocky and rude attitude against the G.I. Joes. Not only it's for their own good, but it's standard military procedure.

Those girls should be the ones that owe a big apology to the GI Joe's, not the other way around.

Especially Sunset for abusing her mind reading powers, and Rarity has the audacity to casually trapping highly trained men and women right in front of them!?

P.S. They should feel lucky that they aren't captured by Cobra, because if they do something similar like this, they would freaking regret it because Cobra Commander won't tolerate their crap, and we will most likely torture them or threaten to go after their own families next!!!

Are you sure that the girls are willing to fight against a horrible terrorist organization willing to kill, torture, and personally go after their families and those they love!?

I'm sure at least a few of them would be even MORE determined to help stop Cobra KNOWING the stakes were that high. After all, they wouldn't just be fighting to protect themselves, but also everybody they care about.

Kind of like how certain villains going after a hero's family and friends (such as Lex Luthor concerning Superman, the Joker concerning Batman, the Green Goblin concerning Spider-Man, Doctor Doom concerning Mister Fantastic, Moriarty concerning Sherlock Holmes or Blofeld concerning James Bond) just makes the hero even more determined to stop them.

And it also would be a sign that they were ready to "graduate" to a higher level of heroics.

Yikes. Definitely a really good job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. The stuff with the Cobra higher ups AND Zartan and his sister discussing why they're after the girls in the first place - yeah. Definitely makes sense that Cobra would want to find a way to tap into that kind of power to make themselves more formidable.

VERY much looking forward to more of this.

I went into this having never tried out any G.I. Joe media before... And I have to say, if this is anything like how the protagonists act in the actual series, they are a thoroughly unlikeable group who engage in highly unconstitutional and illegal behavior at the behest of a dystopian portrayal of the American government. Even more alarming than their plans of indefinite arbitrary detention of civilians without charge, combined with a lack of provision of legal counsel, is the fact that some commenters are so entrenched in a 'my country right or wrong' mentality they think Sunset and co should apologize.

The writing style is fun, and the heroforge pics make this somewhat accessible even to readers not familiar with the G.I. Joe fandom, but the flagrant disregard for civil rights from one half of the crossover's nominal heroes has me not wanting to continue the story.

This is nothing like how the Joes actually are. While they're not 100% perfect all the time, they would never do this for no reason like they are here :twilightangry2:.

Okay, now that was awesome, I had a ton of laughs. I think this chapter is my all time favorite.

Sunset glanced slowly at Flint with a smirk on her face. “I think this is the part where I get to say I told you so.”

I get that you have "clearance", but you don't have to be a smart alec about it. 🙄

Another well done chapter. REALLY loved Sunset warning the Joes about trying to test the girls' powers (from her own failed attempt at scientifically analyzing magic - which was even BEFORE the girls got the geodes to make their powers even greater) as well as the Joes' reactions to the stuff happening with the girls. And, yes, it would make sense that Twilight's test would be the second most troublesome (given her geode power is telekinesis) topped only by when the girls were all tested as a group.

Anyway, the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up were well done and I'm definitely looking forward to more of this.

Well, at least General Hawk was smart enough to authorize an, "I told you so."

Again, this was a really good job on the dialogue, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up. REALLY loved the reactions the Girls had to the Joes' training scheme, not only pushing their powers to the limit, but also learning weapon use and actual fighting skills. Makes a lot of sense that the Joes would want to make sure the girls could keep up with them when things got REALLY rough on the field. In TV Tropes terminology, the learning weapon use and hand-to-hand combat would be Boxing Lessons for Superman. Glad Sunset got the hang of the gun use that well and also glad to see Applejack and Twilight both doing that well with tanks.

VERY MUCH looking forward to more of this.

Okay, A: being a dick about it isn't helping your situation.
B: which comment?

This is most likely bad karma for forcing the Joes to enlisted them with damn Blackmail of all things. :pinkiecrazy: :ajbemused:

The Rainbooms are so gonna regret being too overconfident to face a monstrous and villainous terrorist organization of Cobra.

Even with their magic powers.

You seem to be woefully underestimating them.
And me, in my capacity as the author who's - thus far, on this site - written scenarios that have turned the Main 7 into Transformers, witnesses of the American Revolution, wanderers of the Mojave Wasteland, a DnD party, and Power Rangers.
All that in addition to the madness they've faced in canon, you really think they won't be able to handle themselves against Cobra? Some of their most memorable plans involve holding an evil telethon, shooting a nightclub into space - which they then threatened to blow up - to steal an engine prototype that was in the nightclub, and turning a desert island into a giant funhouse.
That sorta stuff is just Thursday for the Rainbooms.
