its honestly half and half. I wouldnt think too hard on it. Imo.
I liked this, but the ending did feel a bit rushed compared to the rest. Left some open questions about what just happened and what will happen next, and while it makes sense Twilight would be the one to break the cycle I wonder how she knew it was possible in the first place as a child. Still, the rest of it was pretty good, and the whole reveal of the hidden chamber, the sacrifice, and Luna's remorse was just tragic. Definitely a story that would benefit from an epilogue at some point.
Well, it was interesting, surprised about what happened, the world is saved, even if Luna still had a last chance, if somehow it failed, she could try to free Discord.
Id love to see a sequel. What kind of reckoning befalls Luna-Moon.

Something along those lines would be my guess as well. Although Twilight seemed to think that maybe would save the three of them.
To me the presence of Twilight's canon cutie mark suggests something else may be in play. The reaction of Luna/NMM? makes me think that either Twilight should have been forced to grow to adulthood quickly or that she should have been transformed into a rough copy of Celestia with a much reduced span of life. So unless Sunset is dead and gone then this new creature must be either Twilight-Sunset, or a trio of Celestia-Sunset-Twilight. And rather than simply tethering Celestia to this plane of existence, they've gone and merged themselves somehow.
I'm kind of curious how the Celestia -- Sun thing works in this universe. Does Celestia function as a magical channel to power the sun?

This was an amazing read! I know you've seen plenty of people say it already but, I can't wait for the potential sequel/continuation of this should you still want to make it! The ending is so intriguing and I would be so excited to read more of this!
