The only guess I've got is that people missed the Comedy tag and got butthurt at the (near?-)trollfic levels of outrageousness here. If I'd been expecting earnest clop instead of your typical stuff, this would have shattered my expectations. But I can't imagine any of your regular readers expecting this to be played straight, and this sort of votebomb suggests that like literally everyone seeing it on the front page downthumbed it. That, I genuinely have no clue, and I don't think this story deserves it.
All I can suggest is to take some perverse pride in the level of reaction you're causing, I guess? I'm no troll author, but I am genuinely disappointed every time My Harshwhinnial starts getting more upvotes than downvotes. The 1:1 ratio is kind of optimal for it — that makes me feel like I'm writing a really sly injoke and half of my readers are in on it with me.

While yes, you're way more than familiar with my trollfic-writing antics, this was still a well put-together mildly disturbing piece of comedy. It had good pacing (or at least good by porno standards, which is still better than my trollfics), relatively convincing dialogue and genuinely funny humor not too unlike your other works. And with it being labeled as a comedy, I fail to see why so many people would be butt-hurt over this fic. Maybe Flim-Flam fans are elitists, idk.

The ending was genius. The horsewords were awesome. I had the most non-sexual 'gasm ever when I read the word "ineighbriated". I just rolled on the floor laughing as soon as I realized what kind of fic this was.

Honestly, seeing the like/dislike ratio before reading this, I had expected to read a story riddled with errors and inconsistencies. But what I got was instead a pretty amusing and well-written clopedy
Although, just after the mention of an apple being eaten within the contraption, I thought the story would be going in a bit darker direction: as in the brothers deceiving AJ to have a threesome with them. So maybe that was the reason of some of the downvotes. That or the horsepuns... oh god the horsepuns

I have the answer for the upvote/downvote ratio. I'm not going to downvote it simply because it seems like more of a preference thing, but these are the things I didn't like about it:
1. you went overboard with some of the ponified words, they seemed forced.
2. flim flam brothers
3. the crowd scene at the end
4. singing in a clopfic just seems weird
5. why would Applejack ever agree to do a porno with the flim flam brothers?
