I assume you're referring to an off-screen encounter that occurred right before Nightmare Moon revealed herself at the Summer Sun Celebration. You may want to clarify what she's talking about there.
I would say your experiment was a success. Nothing special, but a nice story regardless. If Lauren Faust's original vision is confirmed, it would be a little hard to accept since Spike and Celestia have only exchanged two lines of dialogue (one each) throughout the entire series. That's fewer than Spike and Rainbow Dash in the first season.

But that's why it's called fanfiction. I'm writing my own interpretation of how I believe these two characters would act together. Especially since we never saw how they acted from his baby years up until the time he and Twilight relocated to Ponyville. So because of that gap in canon, I decided to write out how I think they would interact.
As for the errors you pointed out, I'll do my best to correct them, so thanks for your critique.
