Lightning Dust was a good character study of what Dash could have become, were her friends not there to remind her from time to time what her ego could do to her. Blowing off a few commitments to practice is something anypony would do. Heck, it took less than a major comic book series, action figures, a fan club, and pending-acceptance to the Wonderbolts to make her get too full of herself in Mysterious Mare Do Well.
So I don't think her becoming narcissitic would be out of character. If anything, were she as in-character as the show, this fic would have only been about 500 words long. "Oh crap, gotta run, Scoots! I'm feeding the bunnies for Fluttershy!"

This story isn't headed for "the mane six violently rape Dash" so much as, character development, romance, and making Dash a better mare... through operant conditioning with whips, restraints, and the occasional act of questionably-consensual sex.
I've written enough forced pony sex. I want this to stand out as something different, more true to the actual Dom/Sub relationship and BDSM lifestyle. Anyone can write non-con sex, but I see few authors strike an accurate balance of that lifestyle.

Explain how her friends are doing the right thing. I can't see how kidnapping your friend and rapeing them to become your personal slave is always a good therapeutic technique.
You know, normally I love Dash being made sub, but something about this so far feels...not quite right. If it had been shown them trying to get together and explain to Dash how she was hurting them, and she just ignores them all or brushes them off, maybe it would feel less bad. As it is they seem to have decided that they have the right to change who Dash is. It's the difference between Discord reformation and if they had used magic to change him. He was presented with two options: go back to being evil and chaotic, and as a consequence lose his friendship with Fluttershy, or curb in his chaos to preserve that friendship. Dash hasn't been presented with that choice, they haven't told her the way she acts doesn't make her that much of a friend. They've leaped right to deciding she's better off the way they want her to be. They might be right, but it isn't their choice, and they should respect Dash enough not to decide they have the right to decide who she is. Because that's what they're doing, decide they want her to be another way and not giving her a choice in the matter. Dash might have done some wrong, but that doesn't justify them doing wrong to her, and it is wrong. Putting her in fear of her life isn't something they should do, regardless of their reasons, and it's just their whole approach without even trying to have like an intervention thing where they all basically explain if she carries on this way she'll lose their friendship pisses me off. It feels like Rarity is doing this for what she'll get out of it rather than for Rainbow Dash like she says. They're taking the idea too far. Maybe teaching her consideration would be fine, but going the whole 'pet' thing is basically forcing her into being what they want her to be.
Normally, like I said, I love sub!Dash, but the sort of holier-than-thou attitude of her 'friends' kind of ruins it. Damn it, I really, really want to enjoy this and like it but I just find myself troubled by it instead. But then, I love Dash so seeing her kind of having her bad quality taken to the extreme also pisses me off. So no, I don't find it disproportionate retribution, I find it completely reasonable. If the Mane 6 are doing it because Dash is an egotisical, show boat whose actions are hurting others. Than the one pony who is being hurt more than any of them ever will be has even more reason, if not the best reason to take part in this.

Lastly, I think it's a silly expression, but Han Solo was actually refering to his ability to plot a course through a dense area of space full of asteroids. He navigational skills / ship was so good, he routed a 3 parsec route through it, which was shorter than anyone else could, and thus faster.
