This story is a sequel to A Dangerous Sparkle

Applejack has returned from her Everglow adventure with magic all her own. Magic that her little sister and friends want to investigate. What could go wrong when the Apple family falls far from the tree without Twilight to rely on?

They will have to learn to fight as a unit with magic they've only just begun to understand, but Applejack won't be pleased if she allows harm to come to the younger foals in her care. What's a mare to do when she has to foalsit in the middle of a potential battlefield?

If there's one thing we can count on, it's Twilight Sparkle, prized student and newest princess, to botch up a spell in her quest to master all of magic.

This time, it propels her to a new world, this one not inhabited by bipeds, but ponies like herself, and yet not like herself. She has entered the realm of Everglow, where the queen is a queen, and ponies suffer horribly lethal combat much more often than Equestria could manage under the peaceful reign of its alicorn caretakers.

Will she find her way back home, to her friends and responsibilities? Will she survive the harsh new realm she has entered?

Equestria and Everglow have brushed against one another through the course of their histories, each time fleeting, but memorable to those involved. Many many years later, the unaging Twilight captains a space vessel to explore the universe and encounters some old memories of the past she had almost forgotten.

Everglow ponies were supposed to be in a whole other reality, but, perhaps, traveling far enough through the stars served the same purpose?

Equestria/Ponyfinder crossover that does not require reading anything before enjoying this tale. This story is being funded by a loyal Patron.

Twilight Sparkle's life is about to become much more complicated. Days away from the culmination of the path she's been walking since she got her cutie mark, she's beginning to wonder what that may mean for her and her friends.

As they all try to enjoy what may be the last day they can all simply hang out together for a long time, a group of strange creatures appears out of nowhere after a magical mishap, further complicating her life. However, when the gravest threat she's ever faced rears its ugly head, Twilight learns that sometimes the only thing more useful than friends... is a party.

Alright, everyone please roll for initiative.

A love letter to the people from my Dungeons & Dragons: Curse of Strahd game which recently concluded: Captain Unstoppable, TheNumber25, Aquaman, and our lovely DM who wishes to remain anonymous. Thank you for over two years of adventure, heart, humor, and doing our best to drive the DM insane. You fucking mad lads.

Please see postmortem blog for a bit of backstory.

This story is a sequel to The Conversion Bureau: United We Stand

For two years of their time, they traveled the Realm, fighting off Venger, Tiamat, and other assorted demons. Now three friends meet up once again, in another fantastic realm. Eric, Bobby, and Presto think their adventuring days are behind them, but there may be one more surprise in store for them!

This is a crossover with the Dungeons and Dragons animated series from the 1980's, and is a Hasbroverse story, taking about two weeks or so after the events of United We Stand, in late 2012. I own nothing.

Victor had always been enamored with magic. And who could blame him? Haven't we all had fantasies of being able to solve problems with a gesture, or conjure and command the elements with a word?

Well, one day Victor Fremont finally gets his wish. Genuine, real, tangible magic power!

Too bad he never specified what source material that magic should be based on.

A mysterious ruin in a far-away land. Prophecies about a lost relic from one of Equestria’s past champions hidden within. Really, how could Applejack and her friends turn down such an adventure? (Quite easily in Fluttershy's case, but she goes with them anyway.)

Final edits and revisions (hopefully) finished on 08/26/20

This story is a (somewhat distant) prologue to A Demon In Equestria but can be read as a stand-alone story.

Please note that while this story occurs entirely in the world of Equestria, the setting has been heavily influenced by Dungeons & Dragons and the Pathfinder system.

There will be no crossover with other characters during the adventure, don't ask. Crossovers usually ruins the flow of a story.

Chapters (10)

There exists an item of such tempestuous power, of forsaken woe and glorious splendor, that those who are aware of it only speak its name in whispers. And yet, the temptation always reappears, the prospect of dreams fulfilled too alluring for the ignorant to resist. Throughout the realms, its origins and exact appearance vary, but the results of its use almost never leave those mortal fools walking away happy. It is called the Deck of Many Things. And one just fell into the outstretched hooves of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. May fortune save them from their doom.

(You don't actually need to know anything about D&D to understand this. Not knowing what's coming might actually make the experience even funnier, honestly.)
