Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along. Don't make me call the Brute Squad.

The Great and Powerful Trixie is a proud and impulsive mare, which has gotten her into trouble more than once. This time, she has rashly promised to enter the dreaded Everfree Forest in order to discover the nature and intentions of a strange pony skulking within.

At least she won’t have to go alone.

Final edits and revisions (hopefully) finished on 08/11/20.

This is a side story to A Demon In Equestria. While it can be read alone, it will make more sense if you read Demon first.

Please note that while this story occurs entirely in the world of Equestria, the setting has been heavily influenced by Dungeons & Dragons and the Pathfinder system.

Overall pretty solid lad

Pretty damn good start hopefully I get to see more of this story I'm putting you in my watching list

ame here from demon, i like this story, qand i see we have now met the elves of equestria. also, am i the only one thinking that desecrated graves makes me think lich/necromancer, and that these idiots are already getting over their heads? (and i use idiots in the most DnD, lovable band of merry idiots kind of way)

Yeah, desecrated graves does raise the suspicion of either necromancers or grave robbers... And with Grave Robbers that sometimes has a tendency to cause undead to rise pissed about their graves being desecrated or unleashing ancient evil.

10283427 Well ... among my gaming group "adventurer" and "moron" are considered synonymous any way ....

Now I just want to see the barkeep who says ‘oh god no...’ whenever someone announces they are the heroes or adeventurers

is someone going to answer that phone? cause we called it! also, i feel called out by fido's assessment, even if it's not as true in equestria... though he would make a killing if it was a store that sold everything someone might need to restock on mid adventure.

EDIT: and on many refreshes and second viewings... FIRST!

10293611 You foresaw correctly :pinkiehappy:, enjoy your mustache, :moustache:

Fido was hoping the same, unfortunately he missed that a forgotten ruin in a haunted forest (by most ponies views) would actually see very few travelers over the years, making it quite difficult to support his shop.

If Trixie convinces him to relocate, however, he'll be the only magic shop in Ponyville, and the only magic shop in the nearest town to the same "Ancient ruin in magic forest" that he was hoping would bring in adventurers anyway, so he'll have a more sustainable income. (And Firefly can get her Pink Stuff.)

very true! and god knows adventurers love it when they can restock before the dungeon trawl

For themselves, Radish, Firefly and Varun were holding their own, albeit not without some difficulty; the zombies still knew how to use their weapons, but at only a basic level of competence, and had no concept of defense, making them much easier to defend against and strike, but the sheer strength of the undead, and their indifference to the wounds they suffered, made them difficult to destroy.

Then remove their limbs so they can't move :trixieshiftleft:

Thus bolstered, the buck and two guardsponies neutralized the undead in short order, although they had to literally dismember the zombified deer before they finally stopped moving.

Now stomp em, stomp em like loot will pop out of them :pinkiecrazy:

“ I am Coffee Cake, master of the dead!” the necromancer sneered, “ You are whatever I want you to be, and what I want you to be is …” he raised a hand dramatically, “Deceased! Arise my minions!”

Someone's gotten a bit full of themself just because he can raise a few undead to fight for him :moustache:

10325907 Ambris has a number of other good fantasy-takes on MLP, you should give them a look.

Coffee was always something of a disappointment to the rest of the Cake clan.
