A Minty What If

What if things had worked out a little differently in Minty Christmas? What if the three G3 ponies weren't the ones we all knew? What if the secret about the Green Pony and her two friends was revealed, rocking two worlds?

An AU of FIM, G3, concepts from Pony POV Series Season Four: Generation Transitions & Origins, and concepts from Mirror's Image, all at the same time, by a new author as his first major project so buckle up.

Holly Bud is a rock star. One of the greats, in fact: everypony has heard at least one of his songs, and just about all the other rock & roll musicians cite him as an inspiration for their own music.

He's also a changeling.

While waiting for investigations into his past and his eventual trial for any possible role he might have in a changeling conspiracy he agrees to an interview for a local Canterlot music magazine.

The story he will tell will rock Equestria to its core.

While being interviewed at a diner in Manehattan, Someone discovers that there are two Pinkie Pies at the diner! Who is this Pinkie? A clone? Changeling? or a long lost twin.. Nope never mind... And does the Real Pinkie know about this other pony? Lets find out.

Twilight Sparkle presents a collection of interviews, letters, essays, poetry and prose compiled over several years of her relationship with the human Bellerophon and his "herd", covering subjects as broad as Equestrian social taboos, comparisons of earth and Equestrian mythology, romance and the occasional recipe. Compiled by Twilight Sparkle, with foreword by Her Royal Highness, Princess Celestia.

(This is a bit of an experiment based on the worldbuilding concepts presented in AnonAuthor's Xenophilia [[NSFW] - caveat lector!], which intrigued me enough to want to take a closer look. It's likely you'll be very confused by this unless you read at least some of Xenophilia. Updates will appear as and when an idea pops into my head for a thing to add. And fair warning, some of this might come across very dry and dusty. Thank you academia! And thank you AnonAuthor for letting me have a go, and both AnonAuthor and AnonponyDASHIE for all the collab work they're doing. I'll make up for the dust by tossing in the odd piece of art now and then.)

When Twilight receives one of the original journals of Starswirl the Bearded from Princess Luna, she can't wait to try the spells inside it, but the book's magic turns out to be a bit more than Twilight can handle, as her reckless experimentation leads to her accidentally bringing her reflection to life. At first, Twilight decides she quite likes the idea of having a copy around the library. But seeing herself from an outside perspective makes Twilight realize there are some parts of her personality she doesn't care for, forcing her to confront her issues.

Written in the same format as the show, save that it is longer and addresses somewhat sadder themes. No objectionable content or OC characters, focuses heavily on the mane cast.

Special thanks goes out to Pascoite and PavFeira, the two editors who somehow managed to withstand my childish scribbling long enough to make them readable. Couldn't have done it without you!

After being abandoned by her sisters and both physically and emotionally tormented by the students of CHS, Sonata has no place to go. Sonata, who was evil, was a bright girl who always kept a smile on her face and seemingly cheerful with no care for the world. Now she is homeless, scared and seems emotionless until a male student came to her rescue. But what happened to her that caused her to lose even her emotions, and how will she be with this new found help? Only time will tell.

Now you can read the Dark Spin-Off of this story, have fun!
Also thanks to Tennis Match Fan for editing my chapters since chapter 2.

Fox squirrels are frisky little creatures. Ferocious too, as Fluttershy will come to find out. However, like many of Equestria's own little critters, they react best to kindness.

Kindness is what Fluttershy needs the most now, too. Dark machinations are at work, and she's become trapped in a foreign land where there are very few things familiar to her. Lost and frightened, she will travel these worlds, fraught with perils and dangers that seem to be never ending; hoping to one day find a way home.

So, a quick author's note. This story is entirely from Fluttershy's perspective. It also runs parallel (as in it happens at the same time as) to the other stories in "The Madverse". Those stories are, A Twilight Landing, My Little Marriage, Abhorsen, as well as The Mane Two : Contrail, started by Alex Nuage, and currently being written by Ludicrous Lycan. I've written this story here with people unfamiliar to the crossover's source material in mind, so approaching this with an open mind is all you need to enjoy the story. I hope you all enjoy traveling with Fluttershy through this strange, strange world, whether you are familiar with its mysteries or not.

The story crosses over with Studio Ghibli's works, here's their Home Page! www.studioghibli.net

I really can't thank them enough for getting to use this art! Thank you Tyr!

Author's Note

For anypony asking themselves 'why' I chose to crossover for a large piece of these crazy stories, the answer's simple. I had considered that some may not buy into this, but I felt that using established work would add credence and a solid foundation to work from. In other words, that the stories would benefit from a pre-established fantasy setting, rather than one I just made up for the purpose of this series of fics. I can't really say if it was the right decision, but at least you can know that I didn't just throw the rest of the mane six into a sloppily made world rather than one created by professionals. (I honestly doubt I could make something as fascinating as this.) With that said, please enjoy.

Chapters (10)

For one so young to be alone such as her would be to throw a child over a cliff. Darkness would surely take her and in the end starvation end her. She was alone in the world, nobody to care for her anymore, and just weeks after a tragedy that led her to this state. She was lost in the world, awaiting a fate she had no concept of.

She was wild when she found her, a little girl in rags, afraid of contact with strangers, with people who had showed her mistreatment since she had come to be homeless and in poverty. Still she took her in, and cared for her. They formed a bond that could be unbroken. A home provided, a person to count on, talk to, and care for her. Somebody to love her for who she is.

This is NOT supposed to be a rewrite or copy of Past Sins, some events in the first few chapters may be similar, or have some elements that mirror some of the events. Later chapters will be very different. Please be open minded.

This story is a sequel to The Unity Pact 2: Shaking Foundations

Between Chapter 9 and Chapter 10 of The Unity Pact 2: Shaking Foundations, Chris Vacca becomes Princess Luna's first pupil and Luna becomes Chris's first tutor. This side story is meant to expound on that event and the sessions which follow as Chris and Luna lean more about each other's worlds, each other, and themselves.

This is the place to post any and all questions you may have regarding magic and how it works in Equestria (at least according to the world of The Unity Pact).

Dark machinations are at work, and for Rarity, life has taken a turn for the worst. She's now in a place called Ancelstierre on another world, where nopony has ever seen or scarcely even heard of a unicorn before. What dangers lay in wait in this new land of strange magic and mystery? What happened to Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie? More importantly, how does she get back home?

Welcome to the Old Kingdom, my little ponies. Magic works quite differently here...

If you would like, I can send you the books through skype. ( I highly recommend them for a purchase, however.)

Sabriel is a fantasy novel by Garth Nix, published in the year 1995. It is the first in his Old Kingdom trilogy, and is followed by Lirael and Abhorsen. Most everything of substance in this story is the property of him. MLP is Hasbro (duh).
