So it looks like I was wrong when I said that the G3 ponies can't fold their wings at all, but it DOES look like they can't fold them to their sides for comfortable sleep al-la G1 or G4.

As you are, or are not aware, I'm working on a G3 crossover. In the current chapter, the changelings capture a certain G3 unicorn, and are befuddled by the odd glowing of her horn (not the aura around her horn as she casts magic, but her horn itself.)

And as part, I tried to add some world building, but reached a conundrum.

Canonically in FIM, are the auras around the unicorn's horns visible, when they cast magic? Or is that just something the artists do for our convenience?

So apparently a good catch, by my brother with respect to my next chapter (plays sad trombone). Apparently, unlike the rest of G3 Ponyville, Spike knows about both Unicorns, and Unicornia (though both are contained in a book, which apparently no-pony reads...)

So good to know, the good news is the chapter in question hasn't been posted yet, but is in the process of being corrected.
