This story is a sequel to A Mega Blast from the Past

Twilight Sparkle, along with her friends, family, the Cutie Mark Crusaders; minus Dinky, and her new Mobian friends end up back in the time where the Mobians ended up. But the ponies became Mobian versions of themselves. They would have to wait a while for the Time Machine plans to be finished, so they have to wait a while until the Time Machine is finished. If they might be in the past, Twilight might as well do some research while she's in the past.

Princess Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Nyx and Joshua were surprised when two mysterious creatures that fell out of some kind of portal in the Castle of Friendship's thrown room. Joshua recognized one of the two creatures, and said that he has come across him back on Joshua's home world. These two creatures were from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, but one of them is fan made.

Twilight's daughter Nyx tells the story of her mother to a student of her own. As Nyx's time draws to a close and she prepares to be reunited with her mother and their friends at last, Nyx tasks another Alicorn with training her student who might one day become an alicorn and guardian of the dream realm.

After living through a long alicorn life, Twilight's time finally comes. All of her old friends have passed on, but she still has her daughter Nyx by her side at the end. Before she reunites with everyone else, they share a moment.

Celestia is excited about her wedding to Twilight Sparkle, but Luna feels left out.

All three of them have become consumed by this forthcoming event to the exclusion of their responsibilities.

With Hearth Warming day is soon to approach and her mother chosen by the Princesses to plan the thousand year anniversary of the Windigos defeat. Nyx is determined to keep this secret more than ever. However, that is the least of her worries, for unbeknownst to Equestria an ancient enemy plans to enact its terrible revenge on the nation. Will Nyx and the mane six rise to the occasion, or will Equestria and the world fall?

It's been two months since the end of New Life in Equestria. Nyx catches a cold and while bringing her a glass of juice, Joshua accidentally gets hit with her magic when she sneezes. When he recovers from the blast, he finds himself inside Fluttershy's cottage with another human looking on.

This takes place after A New Home II: A Queen's Revenge and before A New Home III: The Quest for the Lost Locket in the Tobyverse.

Nyx Can't seem to sleep, although that's probably due to her Aunt Pinkie Pie promising to shoot her out her party cannon in celebration of her Seventeenth birthday. But Nyx wants something else for her birthday, answers to the question of how exactly her mother came to have a dragon hybrid as a brother, how she made friends with a slightly psycotic party animal who has no respect for the laws of physics, a slightly stuck up but extremely generous and beautiful fashion deigner, a brash but loyal and all around daredevil of a Peagasus, A stuborn as a mule but honest to the core apple farmer, and a socially terrified pegasus who's afraid of heights, can befriend any animal, and has a death stare that would shame Celestia. And of course The all important question of how she became an Alicorn. Luckily for her these things all tie together.
