Chapter 1 - Where Am I?
*Joshua’s P.O.V.*
It’s almost been a year since I came to Equestria, two months since I was saved from Sombra. Mine and Dinky’s date on Hearts and Hooves Day was the best night I ever had. Today isn’t a good day though. Nyx is sick. Right now, Mommy is making her some orange juice for me to take up to her.
“Just be careful around her, Joshua,” she said giving me the cup, “Whenever a unicorn or an alicorn gets sick, there’s no telling what their magic will do, especially when they sneeze.”
“I’ll be careful Mommy,” I said. I then walked up the stairs to the room we all shared. Spike wasn’t at the library today. He had to go to Canterlot for some important business Mommy said. I then knocked on the door to Nyx’s room. “Nyx? Can I come in? I brought you some orange juice.”
“Come on in,” she said. I opened the door and saw Nyx lying in the bed we shared. Her eyes were half open and red. When Nyx first got her cold, a white Earth Pony mare with a pink mane and tail, blue eyes, and a red cross cutie mark named Nurse Redheart came to check up on her. She said that Nyx had to stay in bed for a few days. I felt bad for her. Mommy and I couldn’t be in the same room as Nyx when we slept at night, or else we might catch her cold.
“Are you feeling any better big sister?” I asked her.
“A little bit,” she said sniffling, “But I’m sure the orange juice will help. Thanks Joshua.”
I walked over and put the cup of juice on the nightstand next to her bed.
“You're welcome, big sister,” I said smiling at her. She smiled back at me. I then saw a book on her bed. “What are you reading?” I asked.
“It’s the next Daring Do book; Daring Do and the Legend of the Seaponies,” she said.
“That’s cool,” I said.
“Yeah,” Nyx said nodding, “There’s one part where Daring is being chased by Ah...........AH.........AAAAHHHH...CHOO!!!” Nyx sneezed and a blast of magic came out of her horn. It started bouncing around the room. “Joshua, watch out!” Nyx said. I stood up and ran to the door, but I felt the magic blast hit me.
“AAH!!!” I yelled. I got knocked down onto the ground.
“JOSHUA!” I heard Nyx yell, but her voice was going quiet. I could hear her calling for Mommy, but I was falling asleep, “TWILIGHT, HELP!!! Joshua is...”
*Twilight’s P.O.V.*
I was quietly working on a report for Princess Celestia while Joshua took the glass of juice up to Nyx. I was worried though. One blast from Nyx’s magic when she sneezed, and who knows what could happen to Joshua?
“JOSHUA!” I heard Nyx yell, “TWILIGHT, HELP!!! JOSHUA IS FADING!!!”
I ran up the stairs as fast as I could and burst through the door into Nyx’s room. I saw Joshua in front of me on the ground, but he was fading away.
“JOSHUA!!!” I said trying to pick him up, but my hooves went right through him! “OH NO NONONONONO!!! What happened?!”
“I was showing him a book I was reading, but then I sneezed and a blast of magic came out of my horn and hit him!” Nyx said tears stinging her eyes. I used my magic to read what spell Joshua got hit with, and gasped when I realized what it was.
“Well Nyx,” I said to her, “There’s good news and there’s bad news. The good news is you didn’t hurt Joshua.”
“Well that’s brings some relief,” Nyx said, “But where did he go?!” I looked down and saw that Joshua was no longer there.
“That’s the bad news Nyx,” I said to her, “You teleported him to another dimension.”
*Joshua’s P.O.V.*
When I woke up, I felt blankets over me. I opened my eyes and I saw that I was in Fluttershy’s room in her cottage. I then sat up and looked around. I felt very dizzy too. Nyx’s magic put a funny feeling in my hands and feet.
“You’re awake!”
I looked to the side and was surprised to see another human standing there. He looked about my age, had light skin like me, brown hair, a red hooded jacket, a blue shirt, blue pants, red and black sneakers, and glasses on his face. He ran over to the stairs and called down them.
“Momma!” he said, “He’s awake!”
“Oh thank goodness!” said a voice that sounded like Fluttershy’s, “I’ll be up there in a minute sweetie!”
He then walked back over to me and put his hands on the bed.
“Are you okay?” he asked me.
“I think so,” I said, “But I feel a little dizzy. How did I get in Fluttershy’s cottage?”
“Huh?” he said, “How do you know Momma?”
“Momma?” I asked, “Fluttershy’s your Momma?”
“Yeah, she is,” he answered smiling.
“But, I don’t remember her having a human in her house,” I said, “How did I get here though?”
“You came in a white ball of light,” he said, “I was outside helping Momma with her animals when I saw a white ball of light appear in front of me. You fell out of it onto the ground and the white ball of light went away. Momma helped bring you inside and you haven’t woken up until today.”
“How long was I asleep?” I asked him. He put a hand to his chin and rubbed it thinking.
“Two days,” he said, “Momma’s making something for you to eat. You must be hungry.”
My tummy growled when he said that.
“Yeah, I am,” I said nodding. I then realized we didn’t tell each other our names. “My name is Joshua,” I said holding out my hand, “What’s your name?”
He smiled, put his hand in mine, shook it, and said, “It’s good to meet you Joshua. My name is Toby Mason!”
