Chapter 10 - The Meeting in Canterlot

*Nyx’s P.O.V*

We were aboard the Friendship Express heading toward Canterlot Castle to visit Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. I was anxious in meeting them from this Equestria, because I was worried about how they would react to me being the filly version of Nightmare Moon. Joshua and I were sitting next to each other while Toby was sitting across from us “Toby, do you think your Aunt Celestia and Aunt Luna will be welcoming toward me?”

He looked over at me with a warm smile “Oh, of course Nyx. Aunt Celestia and Aunt Luna are very nice and I know they will like meeting you and Joshua.” I breathed a sigh of relief after he reassured me.

He is such a sweet little boy, just like Joshua, even after all he has been through. I feel awful for him losing his mommy, but also his father being cruel to him by blaming him for her loss. I could feel tears threaten to escape as I looked over at Toby, but I blinked to prevent them from shedding.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked at Joshua “Are you okay Nyx?” He asked me with concern in his voice and a look of worry on his face.

I gave him a nod of reassurance “I’m okay Joshua, don’t worry. I just hope Celestia and Luna can figure out how we can get home.” I gave him a soft smile.

He patted my shoulder “I’m sure they will Nyx. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna always are able to figure out a solution to any problem.” I nodded at him in understanding as I turned to look out the window. We were approaching Canterlot as we passed through the entrance gates.

*Joshua’s P.O.V*

As we arrived at the train station in Canterlot, Fluttershy came up and let Toby climb up onto her back. This earned a light-hearted giggle from Nyx and I, because we could see the love Fluttershy had for her son. I hope we get home soon, because I miss our mommy. I shake my thoughts away as we exited the train.

We made our way through the city until we arrived at the castle where there were two guards standing at the palace doors. They stood at attention when they noticed Twilight “Welcome Princess Twilight Sparkle and friends.” One of the guards spoke “The royal sisters are awaiting your arrival and are in the throne room. You may enter.” They stepped aside and we carefully entered the castle.

While we walked through the castle I couldn’t help but get a little nervous myself in meeting Princess Celestia and Princess Luna of this Equestria. I trusted Toby though that they would be welcoming toward Nyx and I. I hope they would be accepting of my idea of keeping in touch with Toby when me and Nyx goes back home.

*Twilight’s P.O.V*

Soon we arrived at the throne room where the royal sisters were standing at the throne. We approached them and bowed our heads. “Hello Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. I’m glad that you both could see us at this time.”

They nodded “Rise my little ponies and guests.” Celestia spoke as we lifted our heads. They slowly descended the stairs “Hello Twilight, Fluttershy, our dear little nephew Toby, and our two new guests.”

“Hello Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.” Nyx and Joshua spoke in unison.

I look up at Celestia and Luna “Princesses, these two are the ones that I spoke of in my letter I wrote you.” I motion for Nyx and Joshua to approach “This is Joshua,” I placed a hoof gently on his shoulder “And this is Nyx.” I placed the other hoof on Nyx’s shoulder gently.

“Well, it is an honor of mine and my sister’s to meet you two,” Luna spoke with a warm smile. She titled her head side to side as I could see her examining Nyx. A look of curiosity formed on her face “Thou look awfully familiar young filly.” I swallowed nervously as I turned toward Nyx.

*Nyx’s P.O.V*

I swallowed nervously and shook on my legs, but I took in a deep breath and exhaled. I bowed my head to Luna and Celestia “Well Princess Luna, I may look familiar, because in the Equestria I come from, I’m Nightmare Moon, but just a filly and reformed.” I watched as their jaws dropped a little.

“Oh my, that is a shock to hear my little pony.” Princess Celestia spoke softly “If I may ask, could you maybe tell us how you came to be?” I look up curiously at her question, but inside I smile, because I felt that they really wanted to hear my story.

I gave her a nod “Okay Princess Celestia. It’s a bit of a long story, but I would be honored to tell you and Princess Luna.” I took in a deep breath and started to tell my tale.

*Toby’s P.O.V*

After Nyx told her story I couldn’t believe all that she went through to finally be adopted by Auntie Twilight in her Equestria and have a family of her own. and I couldn’t help but shed some tears as Momma, Auntie Twilight, Auntie Celestia, and Auntie Luna did the same. I wiped away my tears as Joshua went ahead and told his story.

When both Nyx and Joshua were done, I carefully walked up to Auntie Celestia and tapped her on her foreleg “A-Auntie Celestia?” I asked kindly as she looked down at me.

“Yes my dear little nephew, what is it?” She asked softly.

I swallowed a little nervously “C-could I maybe talk with you for a moment?” She gave me a warm smile and nodded.

She turned toward Momma and the others “Please excuse us for a minute my guests.” We carefully walked over to the edge as I looked up at her. She gently stroked at the side of my arm with a hoof “Is something wrong Toby?”

I shook my head as I looked down at the ground “Well no Auntie Celestia, but I was wondering if maybe…” I shake nervously.

“Yes my dear nephew? What is it that you would like to ask? You know you can ask me or your Aunt Luna anything and we’ll do our best to answer.” I felt her rub my shoulder comfortably as I took in a deep breath and looked up at her.

“Well Auntie Celestia, I was wondering if I could maybe see how my daddy is doing back on Earth?” I looked up to see her jaw drop a little. She closed her eyes and turned her back toward me. I shake a bit. “You aren’t mad at me, are you Auntie Celestia?”

She sighed heavily and turned to look down at me with a soft smile “Of course not my dear, but why would you want to see your dad again, especially after all he has done to you?” I watched as a look of worry came upon her face.

I understood where she was coming from, but I replied “After I listened to Joshua’s story about his mommy and daddy, it made me wonder if my daddy still has a little bit of good in him. I know he done bad things to me, and killed my mommy, but he’s still my daddy and I still love him.” I frowned up at her.

She placed a wing over me and pulled me into a hug. I couldn't help but cry into her chest “Shh… it’s okay dear. I’ll talk with your Aunt Luna and we’ll see how we can get you to see your daddy, okay my little nephew?”

I sniffled and looked up at her with a tearful smile “Thank you Auntie Celestia.” I sighed softly as she hugged me.

*Joshua’s P.O.V*

As me, Nyx, Fluttershy, Twilight, and Luna were talking with each other I glanced over at Toby and Celestia embracing each other warmly. I noticed that Toby appeared to have been crying, but I knew Celestia was calming him down. I looked at Princess Luna “Princess Luna, could I maybe ask a favor of you?”

She gave me nod “Of course Joshua, what is it?” She asked kindly.

I looked around at the others before looking back at Luna “Well, when Nyx and I return home, I was wondering if you and Princess Celestia knew of a way I could keep in touch with Toby? It would be nice to talk to another human in Equestria, although we are from different universes.”

Luna gave me a warm smile “You know what thou young one, that sounds like a good idea. I shall talk with Celestia about that, and I believe we could come up with a way for you two to keep in touch.” I smiled at her warmly.

I nodded “Thank you Princess Luna.” She replied with a nod. I turned to see Celestia returning with Toby.

“Well my little ponies and humans, what do you all say we have something to eat, and then we can figure out how to get you two back home?” We all nodded in agreement.

Toby climbed up on Fluttershy’s back as me and Nyx followed behind Twilight. We all headed toward the palace dining room.

I can’t wait to get back home and see Mommy and all of my aunts again.

Wait hold on, didn't Twilights letter already explain Nyx was Nightmare moon reformed last chapter, and when she replied it sound like celestia was coming to vist them? Non the least I enjoyed the chapter, I just wish I stop speed reading it

I thinking she jump to the consultion or something similar that Nyx was Nightmare moon, I mean Alicorn, black coat, Dragon like eyes (I like dragon eyes then cat eyes as some people thought) the cutie mark would probably confuse her. Or celestia would be Trolling them
