Chapter 11 - Dream Communicating and the Failed Kidnapping
*Joshua’s P.O.V.*
After having a delicious dinner with everyone, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna let us stay at the castle that night. Toby and Fluttershy stayed in one room while Nyx, Twilight, and I stayed in a room next to them. We had a long day and wanted to get some sleep. While Nyx and Twilight were getting ready, I walked over to Toby and Fluttershy’s room. I knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Fluttershy said. I opened the door and saw Fluttershy and Toby reading a book together on the bed.
“Hey Joshua,” Toby said smiling at me.
“Hey Toby,” I said, “Hey Fluttershy.”
“Hello Joshua,” she said, “Are you feeling alright?”
“Yeah,” I said, “I just wanted to say goodnight to you two.”
“Oh, well, goodnight Joshua,” Fluttershy said.
“Goodnight,” Toby said.
“Goodnight,” I said, “See you tomorrow.”
I walked out of the room and back over to the room I was sharing with Nyx and Twilight. Tomorrow, Nyx would be able to send us both back to our Equestria, and I would be able to see Mommy again! I walked into my room and saw Nyx and Twilight already in bed. I climbed into bed next to Nyx and pulled the covers over me. I then felt a hoof being placed over me.
“Good night, Joshua,” Nyx whispered to me.
“Good night, Nyx,” I whispered back closing my eyes.
I was then in a very black room. I was confused. My dreams didn’t start out like this.
“Joshua? Can you hear me?”
That sounded like Twilight, but I thought only Princess Luna could enter dreams. Did she have help from Princess Luna?
I turned around and saw a bright white light shaped like a doorway and Twilight standing in front of me, but there were tears in her eyes.
“Are you okay, Twilight?” I asked.
“I’m just happy you’re okay, sweetie,” she said, “but since when did you call your adoptive mother by her first name?”
“Huh?” I said even more confused. Then I realized it was the Twilight that adopted me, the one I called Mommy! How was she doing that?! How did she get into my dreams?! “Mommy?” I asked.
“It is sweetie,” she said. I ran over to her, and we hugged each other.
"How are you here in my dreams?" I asked her.
"I had a little help," she said looking back to the bright doorway. I looked behind her and saw the Princess Luna from the Equestria I'm from standing there. She smiled at me as I waved back at her. "She was able to connect our dreams. That's how I'm here with you in your dreams. Are you alright, sweetie? Did Nyx make it to you?"
"Yeah, she did," I said.
"How are you two doing? What's the dimension you're in like?" she asked.
"It's a different Equestria," I said, "You're there as well as your friends, my friends, everypony. But there's no Nyx in this Equestria though. But, there is another human here. His name is Toby Mason, and the Fluttershy in this Equestria adopted him."
"Wow," Mommy said, "That's so fascinating! Who knew there were alternate Equestrias out there?"
"Mommy?" I said, "Nyx said the spell used to bring us to this Equestria needs two days to recharge, right?"
"Mmhmm," she said nodding, "48 hours. Nyx did the spell to send herself to you at 3:00 PM in the afternoon, so that's around the time she'll need to do it to bring the two of you back. Make sure to tell her that, okay?"
"Okay," I said, "I'll see you tomorrow, Mommy. I love you."
"I love you too, sweetie," she said kissing my forehead, "Pleasant dreams."
We gave each other one more hug and then she trotted back through the bright doorway to Princess Luna. The doorway closed and I was alone in my dreams again.
Wait a minute. Could Toby and I continue talking to each other through our dreams? That might work. I hope Princess Luna will think it's a good idea, this Equestria's Princess Luna I mean.
*Nyx's P.O.V.*
THUMP
I heard a thump in the middle of the night. It's not Twilight or Joshua because they're both still next to me. It's somepony else. An intruder! I stay quiet as I spot a shadow sneaking against the walls in the room. I gently shake Joshua awake. He looked at me and opened his mouth about to say something, but I gently put a hoof on his mouth to keep him from talking.
"Shhh," I whispered hushedly into his ear, "There's somepony in the room. Keep quiet."
I felt Joshua nod his head while my hoof was still on it. I took my hoof off his mouth and we looked at the dark shadow sneaking through the room. I felt Joshua turn around and wrap his arms around me. I brought my hooves around him in return and held him close to me. I felt Joshua clench his fist lightly behind my back and felt his hand grow warmer. He must've been preparing his magic. During our training sessions, his magic has been getting stronger, but this dark figure looked like a full grown stallion. I wasn't sure if he could stop him.
"You should've never come here, Nightmare Moon," a stallion voice spoke.
I knew that voice, but Joshua didn't. I felt Joshua tighten his fist and the stallion was caught in his white glow. He yelped in surprise as he floated in front of us. Suddenly, Twilight woke up hearing the yelp. She turned and saw the stallion caught in Joshua's magic.
"WHO ARE YOU?!" she exclaimed jumping at the stallion. Joshua's glow disappeared when Twilight tackled the stallion. She held him down on the ground. The door suddenly opened up, and Fluttershy and Toby were standing in the doorway after the light was turned on. I was right about who the voice belonged to.
"Blueblood?!"
Oh! The snotty prince attempted to kidnap Nyx, but her little brother foiled that attempt. 
Plus, it looks like Joshua figured out a way for him and Toby to stay in touch. Question is, will it work? 
Sorry for this short chapter, but we're getting closer to the end.

Ah Blueblood, no doubt trying to earn glory that would see himself ascend to alicorndum and to his "rightful place" in the line of succession. *Whistles the Rains of Castamere* It is only a shame that Equestria has no equivalent of The Wall to ship Blueblood off to where he would be left to nothing but hardship and work in defense of the realm, all titles lost.

And could you write a fic where Joshua runs away from home after everypony convicts him for something he didn't do, I'm just helping you go along with this so you don't get stuck.

How in the world of Equestria learn that Nyx was Nightmare Moon?! No matter, at least his kidnapping didn't succeed. Also, Toby and Joshua communicating with each other through their dreams sounds like a good way to stay in touch. Just has to be up to the Luna in Toby's Equestria if it is okay or not.
