A lost filly, an unrequited love, a plot for revenge, all elements laced in Private Eye's latest case. A simple kidnapping turns quickly into a quest to uncover a conspiracy against Ponyville's most beautiful mare. Private is determined to solve this case and bring the young filly home. But his partner might be just as determined in a much more personal endeavor.

This is the story of how Spike got his wings, and became Sweetie Belle's brother-in-law. :) The story is enveloped within another tale of Spike's great-grandson, Uvarovite, and his special somepony, Dusty Amber, coming for a visit, many years later.

Spike is reunited with his long lost sister Ran'sea. The elegant dragon brings her brother, Twilight, Private and Rarity to her home among the dragon clans. While there, Spike meets his extended family, deals with the fact he was raised by ponies, and now faces a dragon right of passage. This ceremony will allow Spike's body to grow naturally, without being consumed by greed. During the ceremony however, Spike is nearly killed thanks to an assassination attempt. Private must find out who is responsible for the attack, but can a pony earn the respect of dragons? Just what are the dragons keeping about Spike's parents?

After the dragon attack on Canterlot, Discord whisked Rarity to his brother. To separate her and Spike, because they bring out the worst in each other. Rarity, being infected once again with the Nightmare energies will lose control to them once again in proximity to Spike, while they eat at Spike's own defenses and allow his darker nature control. Spike, dissatisfied with this arrangement decides to rescue her, but will an evil older then even Sombra rise again and destroy all he cares for and loves.

Not all the fears of her past can be left behind that easily though, and now she must face the consequences of her actions as she faces the most daunting challenge of her life.

Letters is a sequel to the alternate universe story The Monster in the Twilight. In this story, Twilight Sparkle exchanges letters with Princess Luna, two ponies with a common problem of fitting in and making friends after the destruction of Nightmare Moon.

Normally I would try to talk you into reading the sequel even if you haven’t read the original story, but in this case, you’ll probably be more confused than entertained. But go ahead. I don’t mind if you don’t read the first story. You’ll never find out what an Urlock is, but that’s fine. It’s your funeral.
