Status update: I just finished writing Chapter 5 of The Hole in the Sun and sent it to my prereaders/editors. It clocks in at over 16,000 words, but closes out the flashback entered into with Chapter 4. It may be split into two separate chapters due to length, but they'll each be published as soon as editing is finished if that happens. So probably only a couple days apart if my editors focus on the first part to begin with. I'm hoping at least the first part can go up by the end

So yeah, three weeks since the last chapter. Ouch! I really thought I could keep up a faster pace. It's hard at times though. Part of that is because real life has kept me busier than usual. But if I'm completely honest, I just got a bit scared too. This is a crucial point for the story, and I can't deny that self-doubt lead to procrastination. The good news is that I think I'm past that (at least for now.) I have 8,000+ words written for upcoming chapters. The problem is that I say "chapters"
