Nightmare Night! Rainbow Dash's favourite time of the year.

Well, it would be if she wasn't cooped up amongst the upper-class of Canterlot.

Taking matters into her own hooves, Rainbow Dash breaks out an old costume and goes to show the Canterlot elite what a real nightmare night is like.
Little does she know somepony else already has the same idea...

Rainbow Dash performs another Sonic Rainboom, which gives Soarin a flashback to when they first met and how important she really is to him.

This takes place between season 6 and season 7.

It has been a decade since Twilight Sparkle was crowned sole Princess, and Equestria is at peace.

The Crystal Empire, not so much. King Sombra is apparently unkillable, despite all efforts. He returns several times a year to be destroyed, leaving behind his horn and always swearing vengeance. The jaded Crystal Ponies, some literally jade, have grown used to their tyrant attempting to return. Princess Cadance rules with her husband Shining Armor, while their daughter Flurry Heart excels in school. All is well.

All seems well, until Cadance begins to suspect that something is wrong with her daughter after the latest battle with Sombra. Flurry quite literally walks off a blast of concentrated dark magic. What Cadance discovers will shake her family to the core and upend everything she thought she knew about her daughter.

Flurry Heart is evil. If Cadance cannot save her daughter, she must stop her before it's too late.

(Originally conceived as a oneshot, this story has become a series of them because of the massive popularity of the first installment and how it was featured on the front page.)

Pairing: Soarin/Rainbow Dash

Chapter 1: Meet the Parents Rainbow Dash has a brilliant idea: since she hasn't seen her parents in awhile, why not bring her new boyfriend with her to visit them? Unfortunately for Soarin, this means meeting her father and mother (Firefly). Will the Wonderbolt survive the visit? Will I ever learn how to do comedy? There is a single yes and a no between these two important questions.

Chapter 2: Meet the Scootaloo Soarin unexpectedly finds himself introduced to Rainbow Dash's number one fan, Scootaloo, and once again finds himself learning a bit about Dash's world. Warning: Might make you squee.

Applejack is out in the rain...

...but Rarity lets her inside.

Here lies the body of Rainbow Dash, done to death by a sudden crash. It wasn't the speedy stunt that laid her low but a prank on a friend that made her go.

After Spike learns how Rarity feels, he is angry, upset and feels used. Spike feels like he can't fully open up to anyone about what happened. After having a dream where he spoke to Princess Luna, he ends up going to Canterlot to see her, as he remembered that Luna has helped him in the past. He needed to talk to someone and get it off his chest. After speaking with Luna and spending a few days in Canterlot with Luna, Spike starts to see the Princess of the night in a different light. Does this mean that he is over Rarity? Is this connection a strong friendship or something more?

Everypony loves Hitch - he has a perfect mane, shredded abs, and most importantly, a paid-off mortgage. A HOUSE THAT IS FULLY PAID FOR! What crazy mare wouldn’t fall in love with that? Sunny is a best friend, but what if she could be more than that? Time to shove the nerves aside and get on with it.
