Pairing: Soarin/Rainbow Dash
Chapter 1: Meet the Parents Rainbow Dash has a brilliant idea: since she hasn't seen her parents in awhile, why not bring her new boyfriend with her to visit them? Unfortunately for Soarin, this means meeting her father and mother (Firefly). Will the Wonderbolt survive the visit? Will I ever learn how to do comedy? There is a single yes and a no between these two important questions.
Chapter 2: Meet the Scootaloo Soarin unexpectedly finds himself introduced to Rainbow Dash's number one fan, Scootaloo, and once again finds himself learning a bit about Dash's world. Warning: Might make you squee.

A cute and charming little story you have here. I enjoy a good Soarin-Dash story, and you're right, there aren't enough of those. This one feels kinda short and rushed, but I'm generally used to reading long-form stories so that feeling was probably amplified a bit.
My primary criticism is this bit:
I get that you're trying to make a statement here, but it's really heavy-handed, unsolicited and unnecessary information and feels out of place compared to the rest of the fic. I'd say a better idea would be to actually include this homophobic aunt and have it be a plot point rather than giving us a brief lecture about why she sucks, but since you mention that your mission was to produce a light-hearted story free of high-drama, it'd probably be better to trim this bit out entirely, or at least edit it down to be a lot more subtle.
Overall a thumbs-up. Nice work.

sooooo, this is pretty much an exact copy of the one episode of the big bang theory with the exact same dialogue. Not saying it was bad, i love seeing things ponified, but seriously?

I think that this story deserves attention because it fits into the 'slice of life' ideal that the show claims to follow. This is just the story of a girl bringing her (much older) boyfriend to meet her understandably-sceptical parents. The fact that all the characters are technicolor pegasi almost doesn't matter on a story-telling level, which is an achievement of its own.
I did like the Rainbow Parents' parting pranks, though. I think we know where she gets if from now!

2434507 I have never actually seen Meet the Fockers. I named the story after the interviews from Team Fortress 2 called "Meet the (insert character class here)", such as "Meet the Scout". I'm a fan of the game, and since I couldn't think of a great title I decided to at least put in a reference that made me happy while also making it similar to the name of the art it was based on, "Meeting Dad".

Heh. Nice that someone shares my headcanon of RD being Firefly's daughter. Though remember that she could never be that in canon because Hasbro no longer owns the rights to her name. Faust originally wanted to call RD Firefly, but couldn't, but you probably knew this already.

And I don't have any plans for a Twilight story sadly. I have enough ongoing stories on fanfiction dot net to keep me busy for weeks, so I won't be able to draft up any new ideas. I do have a "Meet the Scootaloo" story already planned though

Well now that read the story, I found it pretty cute. Your sentence structures are kinda weird and I had to read several twice to find out what was actually happening. Mostly in the beginning, it got a lot better later on. You might also want to go through the text one more time, spotted a few double words and typos and at least one tense error where you used present instead of past.
About the story itself, it was nicely structured. You kept to Soarin's perspecive well which I didn't expect, because usually people tend to go with the mane6 member as the focus. You may have gone a little bit overboard with Soarin's digestive ruminations, but nothing too bad. The throwaway line about the lunch box with a muffin was funny, but you really didn't have to force it more than that. Maybe just have RD sigh would have been enough. We all know about derpy anyways.
But after the photo scene, you jumped directly to the two lovers leaving. I wanted more! I wanted to hear their banter, more character development, more depth, now it ended up as RD = FF, Soarin = cliché boyfriend, Rainbow Dad = cliché.father in law. You had such a nice beginning to just skip past the meat of the story. I really wouldn't have minded the crackers, the awkward tea conversations, the baby photos, the comments about RD's sibling that was doing stuff X in country Y, the usual comedic routine for a scene like that. It's not like you shied away from clichés in the story.
All in all, a fun read, could have been a bit better, but could have been waaaaay worse. I'd give it an 8/10.

And especially with Dashies parents! And this earned an extra plus when you made Firefly Dash's mother (she was suppose to be the orginal RD after all. That makes sense to me at least) , which has now become my headcanon.
Now I want to see some SoarinDash with Soarin's parents!
