Luna has just been defeated as Nightmare Moon, and is settling in nicely at the Canterlot Palace as a filly. Celestia, however, hasn't gotten used to all of the crazy things the young Luna can come up with when still in this adorable form. One day, she gets this wild idea that the moon is somehow made of cheese. At first, it seemed harmless enough to allow Luna to think this. Although, then she starts talking about how Celestia's sun is made of custard.

Celestia throws dignity out the window, and attempts to correct her much littler sister on this error. After all, how could the sun possibly be made of custard?

This story is a sequel to Responsibilities

The 'adventures' of Blank Page continue. Changelings, Griffons and Princesses. At least he have learned his lesson not to volunteer for things anymore.

Yeah. Right.

That would involve him learning from his mistakes and that would be horrible. Celestia in particular finds it rather hilarious.

A lifetime in a dangerous reality on earth, being conscripted into the military, and life of training didn't really enthuse or surprise him, but what ended his life as a human and began his life in a new world with new obstacles did.

Mocha has it rough from birth to death, then rebirth into modern Equestria. Life isn't all fun and games for Mocha, and this is his tale.

This is not a Gary Stu story, he will not have it easy, this isn't going to be your typical (predictable and annoying) HiE fic. (Those annoy me too.) Also, not a human turned pony story.

Blank Page continues his life in Equestria. Everything seems to be going his way for once... hah! Like that would ever realistically happen.

Even if nopony else did anything, he could get himself into plenty of trouble all on his own. 

So, while Equestria seems peaceful for now, that may change. Or at the very least, he'll manage to make his life interesting for himself.

Whether he likes it or not.

Discord never betrayed Equestria for Tirek, aiding in returning the magic to all the drained unicorns. As a result, Celestia deems him ready of a "small" gift: The Archduchy of the Everfree, technically making him the highest noble under the princesses.

Naturally, this shocks everypony, including Discord himself. Now of course his lands will some have some chaotic magic and strange laws in effect, but that doesn't mean he doesn't take the noble thing a little seriously. Why is anypony's guess, but it'll be entertaining to watch.

When the royal budget is blown, Luna needs to show that the disasters that have so drained Equestria's resources aren't going to continue. Reforming the Lunar Guard on a tight purse means that she doesn't necessarily get the ponies that she would have chosen, but how bad could it possibly be?

They're reckless, dangerous, they weren't even supposed to be here today, and they might well be Equestria's last hope.

Isolated from her friends and taken prisoner in the middle of a war, Twilight must deal with the very real dangers of being percieved as an enemy as well as the nightmares of her arrival on 'Earth'. Can she overcome her own fears and the fears of her captors? Will the wayward unicorn's assistance be a boon or a curse to the 'humans?' Most importantly, will she ever find her way home?

"In short, it's a story of friendship and plasma rifles, with the emphasis on the friendship. The characters are well written, the XCOM setting is fleshed out very well, and the story is compelling. If you love XCOM, you'll love the story, but even if you've never heard of it, it's more than worth giving the first 3 chapters a read.

There's excellent action later on, but the real strength lies in the collision between the friendly and naive world of Twilight Sparkle and the desperate world of humans fighting a losing war for survival and willing to do anything to turn the tide."
