After the slumber party at Rarity's, the humane 5 are shocked to discover that the pictures that were taken during the slumber party have been posted on Anon-A-Miss's page for the whole school to see. pictures that were taken using Sunset's phone.

Naturally the girls assumed that Sunset was Anon-A-Miss and when she didn't show up at School it further proved her guilt. But when they visited her apartment using the spare key Sunset gave Rainbow Dash in case of an emergency, they discover a very ill Sunset resting on her bed.

Pushing their anger aside to aid their sick friend the girls soon discover that Sunset is not Anon-A-Miss as whoever it is made a post while they were watching Sunset.

Now as they figure out who Anon-A-Miss could be, Sunset's fever continues to get worse and when her body starts flashing red, they realize that whatever Sunset has is beyond their world's ability to treat.

Twilight Sparkle had climbed to her peak. She had ascended to godhood, seized reign of Equestria.

And she had never felt so alone.

Desperate to escape her isolation, Twilight unsealed her vault and pressed a certain book back into its slot in a well-guarded mirror.

She hadn't stopped to think that after she left, the human world kept crawling on...

It had been many moons since the Anon-a-miss incident that had scarred Sunset's life and puts her friendship in jeopardy.

Now that Christmas is around the corner, some old wounds begin to reopen for Sunset Shimmer, who decided to isolate herself from the rest of her friends, for the holiday.

However, when Spike the dragon-turned-dog came from Equestria to deliver a heartwarming gift for the girl, both he and her had a little heart-to-heart talk that reignites the Fire of Friendship from Equestria.

As the sun sets and the moon rises, an innocent and young being shall rise as an extraordinary monster. She lurks in the night, hunting for her prey. She is a being that possesses strength, speed and the strongest of senses known to man.

However, during the daytime, she's the best friend to many.

After suffering from a recurring nightmare, Sunset Shimmer decides to go back to Equestria. There, she discovers that Twilight has been having similar dreams and that a mysterious dark force is at work in Equestria. Sunset, Twilight, and her friends are sent on a mission with the goal of bringing harmony to Equestria once and for all. When stray magic gets mixed into a trick that Trixie is practicing, things end up becoming extremely explosive, with Sunset Shimmer at ground zero. Now it's up to Trixie and the girls to find Sunset Shimmer.

Can they find enough of their friend to get her back, or will Sunset be scattered forever?

Yet the girls soon find there is more to London, and in fact England, than was detailed in the travel brochures.
With dark magic, and powerful wizards, the girls find themselves caught up in an adventure that even Pinkie Pie would never have guessed.
