(My interpretation of Vdrake77's Idol Hooves during the Canterlot wedding)

*Edits for the first two chapters kindly provided by Airy Words!

Idol Hooves is the only changeling in the entire Equestrian Guard, and has been proudly serving for over a decade (while disguised). His enlistment buddy and friend, Shining Armor, the current Captain of the Guard, is finally taking the next step to officially becoming Princess Cadence' s personal guard, 24/7.

With most guards being reassigned to the wedding, Idol (by Luna's demand) is given the temporary assignment to be Princess Luna's personal gaurd due to a shortage in the Night Gaurds numbers.

Now, after another all-nighter looking for potential threats and with Idol's persistence, Luna finally agrees and turns in for the day. With Idol Hooves being the sole guard watching Luna's door, a promise was made that could ruin Eqauestria.

Princess Luna will get her well deserved rest, and nothing short of Princess Celestia herself will wake the deathly tired princess.

Finals had just finished up at the School of Friendship, which meant that the weekend was wide-open for the relieved students on campus. However, since the recent actions of Cozy Glow still lingered guilt across the student body, a group of students decided to take take advantage of their newfound freedom with a gracious visit. They were hoping to find the Student Six in their dorm rooms so they could present a thoughtful gift, and some much-needed apologies for their involvement with the sadistic filly. Unfortunately, the group were only met with Smolder when they tried to state their case.

And to make matters worse, the dragon did not seem too keen on accepting their forgiveness right off the bat.

Can Turquoise and her friends manage to break through Smolder's gruff exterior and prove their atonement? Or is there a deeper reason for the dragoness' resistance to their claims?

[NOTE: This story contains some coarse language, including a few slurs here and there, so reader discretion is advised. I meant to publish this story for Pride Month, but I'm really happy to have written this and break out of my writing slog.]

For nearly one thousand years, the ponies of Equestria had a legend. A legend of a creature who resided in the abandoned Castle of the Two Sisters. An immortal being, one who had near omnipotent powers, but who only appeared in the Castle and its grounds at night, unable to leave. Ponies were wary of the creature, who was only known by the name Djinn, a Saddle Arabian name for a creature who could grant wishes to anypony who was brave enough to approach. This Djinn was unlike any creature known to the world, mostly because nopony who’d ever ventured to the Castle to ask for a wish never could remember what it looked like.

After a death in Ponyville of one mare who attempted to have her wish granted, Princess Celestia herself intervenes and visits her old castle to meet with the Djinn in pony, but is confused by what she finds...

The badlands of Equestria is a cruel and harsh region of burning rock and coarse desert. A place where evil creatures and ponies who kill reside, it certainly doesn’t have the most honest beings in Equestria. It certainly is not the place where good oaths are usually upheld between anypony, not even good friends.

But it is here that you, a unicorn colt, a timid dreamer full of ambition to become somepony as great as all the greatest names in history, were born. It was here that you left to go to the inner land of Equestria, where Celestia ruled peacefully and where you would ultimately fail to find your destiny. And, upon your return, it is here where, with the help of your new teacher, the gun slinging hermit stranger named Anonymous, you will receive your true education, make an oath to find your own way to do true good in a land of bad, and become the great figure you always wanted to be.

(This is story is set in the Reversed Gender Roles universe of Equestria, where the women take on the gender roles that men usually have in society and vice versa.)
