Nharctic

The darkness in our hearts was thrown by the light of the soul. None are beyond redemption, beyond help.

Maybe I should continue The Wolf and the Sun. I have a fair bit of it planned, after all..

Story Progress

In-Progress:
To Walk These Lands:I won't announce this story in a blog. It's heavily inspired by Dark Souls.

On Hiatus: I've lost my groove with these stories, but I'll get to them eventually.
The Wolf and the Sun:Okami Crossover in which I try to make every character have its own story.
The Atlas:Inspired by Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom , this was my attempt at a lore rich world. I'm currently too happy with my life to write a grim fanfic such as this.
Crystal Wake:The story of Equestria after its fall told through the eyes of a Commander.

 - It was my pleasure!

:raritywink: - ... although mostly mine, darling. Wink wink!

:fluttercry: - Angel bunny doesn't respect me anymore.

This is far and away the strangest thing on my user page.
Thank you for cheering me up with this absurdity.

:fluttershysad: - ... oh my. Um, Twili... er, Princess? I don't mean to bother you, but you have a new follower. I'm really sorry.

 - Hello Nharctic, it is a pleasure to meet you! Thank you so much for following me, whether it be for stories or blog posts I've written or what have you! I am honoured for your extension of friendship and shall follow you in kind. May our meeting today blossom into an amicable association of agreeable assurance in the future!

:fluttershyouch: - ...

:twilightoops: - What's the matter, Fluttershy?

:fluttershbad: - I'm really sorry! Whenever you gain a new follower, you and Pinkie improvise a lewd little comedy skit on their page, and I'm not funny at all!

:twilightsheepish: - Honestly, Fluttershy? I'm really glad you're here today instead of Pinkie. She says some awful and embarrassing things about me while I'm trying to convey my thoughts. It gets very frustrating!

:fluttershysad: - What sort of things?

:twilightblush: - ... oh. Um, well for instance, whenever I'd thank someone for following me then follow them for the offer, she'd suggest I was doing such because I'm some sort of desperate lonely sociopath with bad hygiene and a sick fetish for watching ponies when they sleep. Then I'd ask her to please stop making up lies, and she'd rebut with another more grotesque accusation afterward.

:fluttershysad: - Oh my. More grotesque?

 - Indeed. Such as implying that I play sexual roleplay games with Spike, where I dressed up as Rarity and he played a dressmaker's mannequin, and I stabbed him with pins then strapped on a giant—

:fluttercry: - ...

:facehoof: - ... okay, why exactly are you crying?

:fluttershbad: - I AM SO F*CKING TURNED ON RIGHT NOW!

:pinkiehappy: - Lol! Thank you SO MUCH for following us, Nharctic! You're SUPER-AWESOME-AZING-ERFUL-RIFFIC, and we LOVE YOU FOR IT! WOO!

---

:duck: - ... urgh, Fluttershy!? Why are you here? What's so important that you had to come to my house in the middle of the night and interrupt my precious beauty sleep?

:flutterrage: - RARITY I HAVE BEEN A VERY BAD MANNEQUIN THAT WATCHES YOU INAPPROPRIATELY AND MUST BE PUNISHED! MAKE ME YOUR PRETTY LITTLE OBEDIENT FASHION DOLL ... PREFERABLY ROUGH AS POSSIBLE!

:raritystarry: - Oh my! Well then! "Slap by slap, whipping it obscenely..."

:pinkiegasp: - My fanfic is canon!? WOAH!

2318125 oh man, thank you
that really does mean a lot to me :twilightblush:

Your writing has a lyrical bent to it, a poetic tendency and rhythm that reinforces the stories behind them.
You write sad and dark well without becoming unnecessarily dark for the subject, without senseless words. I find that, usually, you write with the right amount of simplicity, the right amount of implication and statement.
Admittedly, I find it darker than I would like- I am no longer the 'me' that wrote my stories. That does not mean cannot enjoy your work for what it is.
