Itā€™s not uncommon for young stallions or mares to come to Cadance to request blessings in their love lives or some other such thing. Itā€™s all part of being the Princess of Love, really. This latest request, however, is altogether new. Granting it could start a political firestorm, but a powerful part of her says she should do it anyway. Filled with indecision, she decides to get advice from the pony she trusts most.

Born from a minor thought experiment based on the theory of Equestria having a female supermajority population and the potential cultural impacts of such a society.

Generously preread by Wanderer D.

Cover art by vintage-kiddo (formerly known as JadedMelody613).

Rated teen for topical discussion of sex (just playing it safe).

This story is a sequel to The Fourth Season

Sunsetā€™s ambition is about to take her on the next step of her life: a three month tour teaching the ponies of Equestria about the human world. Three whole months. This is a good thing. Itā€™s a great thing. Honest.

So why does Applejack feel like her world is about to fall apart? Both terrified and desperate for answers, she sits alone at a familiar gazebo and tries not to make a phone call that could change her life forever.

NOTE: Knowledge of The Fourth Season is not at all necessary to enjoy this story.

Written for Oroboroā€™s Sunset Shipping Contest: Journeys. This is all his fault and you should all blame him for making tempting me to write this when I should be doing other things. My habitual desire to enter contests is not my own fault. :fluttershyouch:

In a sunburned Equestria, Rarity leads the pleasant life of a clothier in the tiny town of Spurhoof. Sheā€™s got a successful business, a capable assistant, and the respect of the place sheā€™s called home for six years. Maybe she never achieved her foalhood dreams of fabulosity, but at least sheā€™s comfortable. What more can a mare ask for?

Then a band of outlaws decide to pay Spurhoof a visit, and their leaderā€™s eye has settled upon Rarity. Soon sheā€™ll have to fight not only for her life, but maybe her very soul. Will her diamond turn dull under the hot Equestrian sun, or will adversity make her shine all the brighter?

A big thanks to my brainstorming fellow and ever-awesome friend SorenPixels, who has helped me ponder the plans for this story since its inception.

Additional kudos to Danger Beans and Cerulean Voice for their help with the first few chapters.

Big thanks to the fantastic author Viking ZX for taking time out of his busy schedule to be my Alpha pre-reader.

Last but certainly not least, my gratitude to my gang of Beta pre-readers: Babroniedad, Lord-Commander, Merc the Jerk, Snowybee, Soge, and Wanderer D!

I was not prepared for the absolutely stunning world building or the incredibly well done characters. [...] This is a work of absolute art. ā€” Equstarte Marine Sebaste

Reading and re-reading (and re-reading) this story was an amazing experience. It will always be one of my favorites! ā€” Wanderer D

I dare say this is a masterpiece of the fandom. ā€” FanOfMostEverything

It's a gorgeous, vivid-drawn setting you've crafted for this, and it hits its gritty Western beats and epic scope with aplomb. Rarity's character journey in this is a stellar one, and her gradual sink into (and recovery at the brink of) [...] darkness was wonderfully and believably told. ā€” Carabas

This story is a sequel to Allure of Generosity

If there's a fundamental truth of the universe, it's that siblings don't always want to confide in one another. Sweetie Belle has a problem, but Rarity can't get her to open up to it or even admit it. Perhaps it will take the interference of another pony to break through Sweetie's shell.

The only question now is whether Fluttershy is up to the task.

The Generosity Series
Chronological from Top to Bottom:
Lessons in Generosity
Study of Generosity
Friend of Generosity
Allure of Generosity
Heir of Generosity?
Triangle of Generosity

Just a little something I whipped up as a bridge between Allure and where I really want to take this series.

At long last, Equestria has returned to a state of peace. Celestia can focus on the simple task of ruling her little ponies and bringing about Harmony.

Or she would, if she didn't feel that something was wrong. Wrong with her? Wrong with Equestria? She can't tell, and that only makes it worse. Perhaps her friends are right. Perhaps she's become so used to conflict she doesn't know how to relax.

That's what the voice tells her, anyway.

When teenage Rarity decides to start calling her mother by her first name, Cookie Crumbles is far from thrilled. But Rarity's at that age where she'll do just about anything to get a rise from her, and making it stop always takes a bit of work.

Luckily, Sweetie Belle might just give her the inspiration she needs to fight back.

A little something that popped into my head and had to be written down. Just for fun this time, folks.
