After a day at school and a short walk through a snowstorm, all Sunset Shimmer wants is a sandwich. Is that too much to ask?

Remember kids; even a demon would like a sandwich when they come knocking.

Good stuff.

I REMEMBER THAT PROMPT!

Once you had the demon show up, I had a feeling that's where this was headed. Nice job.

(Formatting note: after Sunset thinking "has it gone off", your text goes to bold instead of not-italics.)

Demon turns up after a Mayonaaise pentacle sandwhich and fixes the Zip?

Id say that was Good Omens. :twilightsheepish:

That, and Id say she better head into the bathroom and get a certain test out of the cupboard.

Nothing says Suprise like Pinkie Pie and a baby shower for Damien. :pinkiecrazy:

Well that went well. Good to see that Sunset knew what to do.

Good planning, since we're well into corned-beef-sandwich week.

Imma go make a sandwhich. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Welp. That happened.

“I am Rakdos, Lord of Riots.

Awwwww shit. It is party time up in here.

Or sandwich time. Sandwich time is good too. I just hope Sunset is prepared for the giant, four-armed dragon that will be expecting fly-by window service next week.

A lovely little story, though I must reluctantly rule that it's insufficiently princessy on Sunset's part. Still, thank you for it.

Alright, that's fair. Glad you enjoyed it!

Huh. That was strange.
Well, I'm not one to talk: I have that draft for a short comedy about sandwiches sitting on my desk. Now if I publish it, I will be accused of jumping on a bandwagon of weird sandwiches fic...

When I saw the title, I was a bit concerned about possible similarities to a story I wrote two years ago. That was silly of me. You took this story in a direction I did not expect, and it's all the better for it.

Wonderful one-shot. I loved it! Have an upvote + bookshelf-add.

Nice fic. Short and funny.

The Archdevil looked down at Rakdos and said, "You have to go back up there for another four months."
"What? I don't want to go back up there! It's cold up there!"
"Didn't you ever hear about Persephone and the pomegranate seeds? You screwed up the same way, dude - in reverse."
Rakdos dug a taloned toe in the ash covered ground in an embarrassed fashion. He looked up. "Damn. I'll have to get a job."

This is an adventure fic? Nice fic, by the way. I also like how Sunset has been given other clothes other than the ones she had in canon.

I hate it when I accidentally summon daemons while making sandwiches too. It is really hard to get the ash out of carpets. I will have to try this solution.

Note to self, never draw something like that that could accidentally summon a demon. Not that that's any problem for Sunset, she's got this. It'll take more than a demon to freak her out.

Hah! I remember reading this prompt! 10/10 would pentagram condiments again!

Huh, not what I thought it'd be. I thought it would be more like this.

Not bad though. Not bad at all.

This was perfect.
Sunset's response was just spot on.

YAY! Someone else on this site plays Magic The Gathering! Have a +1 and a favorite my friend.

Also, @FanOfMostEverything, I don't know if Malfegor wants a sandwich. He might want a salad?

This is a very Biscuit story. Much approve.

Alright. Before I even started reading this, I noted that it has the "Adventure" tag. That is officially defined as "ponies going to faraway lands (or not) and having all kind of epic adventures." I was skeptical given the premise. How could making a sandwich be an adventure? Then, a demon showed up... :trixieshiftright: Fair enough, I'll buy it.

Honestly, this little story feels like an opening chapter to a story about Sunset regularly meeting demons following her experiences in EQG1. And while she thinks that it isn't that weird, her friends would be completely weirded out. (Except, perhaps, Rainbow Dash and Twilight, who might find it cool and fascinating respectively.) Not sure how well it would work as a longer story but, if you ever wanted to continue it, you certainly have a good start.

This is nice! I like it!

8036106
Huh, this was for that? Maybe if she changed into her Daydream Shimmer form? (is that the name for it?)

If you give a demon a sandwich, he will want some milk.

8035930

Remember kids; even a demon would like a sandwich when they come knocking.
Good stuff.

It's a well-known fact!

8035949

I REMEMBER THAT PROMPT!
Once you had the demon show up, I had a feeling that's where this was headed. Nice job.

I haven't written any stories of prompts for a while, and as soon as I read it and the followup to it, I just pictured Sunset being the protagonist, and then it was off to the races (so to speak).

(Formatting note: after Sunset thinking "has it gone off", your text goes to bold instead of not-italics.)

Thank you! FimFic's gDoc importer is broken, and I'm too computer-illiterate to do the workaround. I thought I checked through the document before publishing, but obviously I didn't.

8035968

Demon turns up after a Mayonnaise pentacle sandwich and fixes the Zip?
Id say that was Good Omens. :twilightsheepish:

The best kind of omens

That, and I'd say she better head into the bathroom and get a certain test out of the cupboard.
Nothing says Surprise like Pinkie Pie and a baby shower for Damien.

Man, you'd hope he's wait until the second date, y'know?

8036015

Well that went well. Good to see that Sunset knew what to do.

Having turned into a demon once, and fought the Sirens and Midnight Sparkle, Sunset's a pro when it comes to dealing with demons.

8036030

Good planning, since we're well into corned-beef-sandwich week.

It's a week-long thing?

8036036

Imma go make a sandwich. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Best of luck, good sir. Hopefully, if it didn't go well, you had enough to make a second sandwich.

8036046

Welp. That happened.

That it did.

8036203

Huh. That was strange.

Just an ordinary day for Sunset Shimmer.

Well, I'm not one to talk: I have that draft for a short comedy about sandwiches sitting on my desk. Now if I publish it, I will be accused of jumping on a bandwagon of weird sandwiches fic...

I've always thought that bandwagons were meant to be jumped on. So go for it!

8036404

When I saw the title, I was a bit concerned about possible similarities to a story I wrote two years ago. That was silly of me. You took this story in a direction I did not expect, and it's all the better for it.

I always worry a little about that when I publish. Obviously, there's such a mountain of MLP fanfiction that it's hard to have a completely new idea (probably impossible, to be honest).

Wonderful one-shot. I loved it! Have an upvote + bookshelf-add.

Thanks!

8036448

Nice fic. Short and funny.

Thanks!

8036449

Oh, man, that would be an interesting follow-up to the story. Especially if he's somehow bonded into Sunny's servitude.

8036623

This is an adventure fic?

Demons are kinda adventurous, even if all that they do is eat a sandwich, right?

Nice fic, by the way. I also like how Sunset has been given other clothes other than the ones she had in canon.

Thanks!

I'd assume that in the intervening years, she's bought a few more outfits. And some lounging around the house clothes.

8036885

It is really hard to get the ash out of carpets. I will have to try this solution.

Yeah, try this and see what happens. Or try to summon demons on tile floors.

8036974

Note to self, never draw something like that that could accidentally summon a demon. Not that that's any problem for Sunset, she's got this. It'll take more than a demon to freak her out.

Sunset's seen some s:yay:t.

8037123

Hah! I remember reading this prompt! 10/10 would pentagram condiments again!

I'll confess, I sometimes draw things with condiments. No demons yet, luckily.

A discussion of sandwiches: Now with extra hyphens!

Good planning, since we're well into corned-beef-sandwich week.

It's a week-long thing?

Hey, it could last for months if you're single and have a whole point-cut of good corned-beef brisket thin-sliced and wrapped in the freezer, but normally yeah--about a week. That's official, I just made it up myself!

8037124

Huh, not what I thought it'd be. I thought it would be more like this.

The unfortunate stabbing of Sunset Shimmer?

Not bad though. Not bad at all.

Thanks!

8037841

This was perfect.
Sunset's response was just spot on.

How often does a demon get a decent sandwich? Probably the only sandwich shop in Hell is Quiznos.

8037945

YAY! Someone else on this site plays Magic The Gathering! Have a +1 and a favorite my friend.

I'll admit that I'm way out of practice. Haven't played in about five years.

8039868

This is a very Biscuit story. Much approve.

8040227

This is good.

Thank you!

8042020
Don't do drugs, kids!

8042382

I don't know if I've ever used the adventure tag before . . . maybe I should have read the instructions. :rainbowlaugh:

Yeah, it could be a stepping-off point to a larger fic, that's for sure. I think that's kind of what FoME has done with his Group Precipitation fic, and I think that he's got one other story with a somewhat similar premise, although I can't say that for sure.

I did consider going a bit longer, and maybe I'll come back and revisit this sometime. Or, if somebody else wants to take the reins, so to speak, that'd be cool, too.

8046079

This is nice! I like it!

Thank you!

8046386
At least she's not teleporting bread.

8047857

Huh, this was for that?

Well, not exactly. I had the idea, and then I thought that it might fit in with FoME's contest, although I wasn't sure, but I figured I might as well give it a go and see what he thought. And he said no, but that's okay.

Maybe if she changed into her Daydream Shimmer form? (is that the name for it?)

That's the one that Derpibooru uses. I don't know if there's an official name.

Especially if the sandwich is made on Wonder Bread.

Ah, I see. So it's sort of like Estee's crackfic week.

Oh sweet merciful Goddess, my sides are in a solar orbit and I am sitting here crying laughing while I try to type this. I just saw that post the other day and shared it on Facebook. I chuckled at the post, but this is too damn funny. :rainbowlaugh:

Highly-respected ancient traditions gotta start somewhere, and it's probably somewhere silly. :pinkiecrazy:

8042382 Think I might have beaten him to it with this. Inspired by both this story and your comment.

8049002 Yep! It is a nice story!

8048965 If it was just an ordinary day, shouldn't you use the "slice of life" tag?:trollestia:

It's funny, because I came across the post on Facebook, and I knew what I must do.

Think I might have beaten him to it with this. Inspired by both this story and your comment.

I'm gonna have to check that out!

8049061

Highly-respected ancient traditions gotta start somewhere, and it's probably somewhere silly.

Or involves alcohol. Or both.

8050632

If it was just an ordinary day, shouldn't you use the "slice of life" tag?

But then I write Apple Honey's Perfectly Ordinary Day, use the SoL, and get complaints that she got a nuzzle from her main squeeze . . . I just don't know what tags to use.

We need a cannon of these stories where in sunset does a simple task and accidentally gains a demon ally

I concur!

Hokuto Ulrik has written one, HERE. I haven't read it yet, but it looks interesting.

... what the shit?

8143864

... what the shit?

This is why magic demon girls shouldn't make occult symbols on sandwiches.

At least she knows how to deal with it.

Sigh...

My Shield of Resistance Against EqG +10 takes another dent from a well aimed can of Admiral Brand Horse Biscuits!

Have a thumbs-up, I guess.

I do what I can. And Sunny’s such an awesome EqG, anyways. Probably my favorite (Sonata’s a close second, because I have a soft spot for characters that are cute and kind of dumb).

Have a thumbs-up, I guess.
