Oh u dun goofed!
Ooh another update! Thank for the Christmas gift sir!
God, this part was hilarious to me. I imagine not everyone feels the same, but I always find the whole dream-watcher thing Luna has going silly. I mean, really, I get nightmares basically on a biannual basis at most, if at all, and I've seen a lot more shit than the average pretty little pastel pone. The whole idea is just so completely superfluous. A story that actually has Luna go "What? Why would anyone even think that was part of my actual job? That's dumb!" is just priceless.
I love it when a story does that. So many writers don't get the point of that scene, which is that Rarity was being shallow, not that Blueblood was being a dick. It's always so refreshing to see someone actually acknowledge this.
I wouldn't either, if I was in his place. The thing about religions is that they worship the idea of their god more than they worship their actual god. If Celestia herself descended from the heavens and told them to knock it off, a certain number probably would... but the rest would quietly grumble to themselves about how she must have fallen to corruption and start planning how to best nail her to a tree. Fanatics can't be trusted, because they only follow you so long as you neatly fit into their fantasy of you.
What
Ruh-roh.
Very nice. The way you wove comedic bits into the mix was quite admirably done.
Also congrats on being featured.
I noticed that LOTR referance u did there
This story just gets better and better, good job Crimmar
So, what is our little gardener– err... Fluttershy planning on doing?
Damnation upon that final line.
Honestly going to have to withdraw my like, you make Reagdan and Luna the endless but Of jokes and demonize them for morality issues that the mane 6 don't actually have a rightful barring to advise them on. When a situation comes up where a mane 6 member may have been peen partially in the wrong such as rarity and blue blood you seem to absolve them of all fault. As bad as he acted blue bloods title was all she cared about so his assumptions where entirely justified.
6768107 Well, weren't both of them partially in the wrong? Rarity saw Blueblood as nothing more than a title and a pretty face. Blueblood saw Rarity as nothing more than a mare looking to elevate her station. But they were both more than that. Blueblood is a guy who was smart enough to make out what Rarity wanted in a second, and went on to entertain himself on her expense. Rarity is one of the bearers which means that even though she may had been acting like a shallow mare, was certainly not gonna keep on being that, but could potentially truly appreciate Blueblood for who he really was, one of the few in a setting like the Gala who would do that. Blueblood was justified in doing that, but maybe he should have given her a chance? I don't think I'm making my point good enough, what I am trying to say is that there is more than one side being 100% right and the other 100% wrong. Gray is the new black and white.
Rarity may claim she was not a golddigger -even though she totally was- but just because someone says something in my story doesn't mean it's true, whether they themselves acknowledge it or not.
As for morality issues pertaining to the main pair... it's kind of a muddled field in story. Raegdan and Luna feel they are vindicated in most of the choices they make as they see everyone else as ignorant, sheltered kids. The reason they follow the mane's 6 lead is because even if their advice seems idiotic to them (like Twilight asking Raegdan to straight up ask Leaf Stream if she is going to try to sell them out or something) is because it is what everyone else sees as right and proper, and right now they need to make themselves look reasonable in the public view.
And I don't think I've made Luna the butt of any joke, have I? Raegdan, sure, but that's because he allows himself to be. Seeing those he loves laugh means more to him than any discomfort or embarrassment.
Anyway, thank you for letting me know why you downvoted. It's much better knowing what I did wrong than just seeing a number go up or down without knowing the reason. I understand that my explanation probably doesn't make up for the faults you see in the story, but when you go chapter by chapter it's hard to spot and fix things like faulty reasoning in a story where you want to keep some things hidden until later, especially when it has gotten away from you (this chapter never was in any outline I made). Maybe I should have some interaction between Rarity and Blueblood later on, seeing them come to terms with what happened at the Gala.
Fluttershy is acting mighty suspicious. Don't trust her.
I love how you almost always have a scene that is just ponies being cute/funny, never fails to make me smile.

It's really odd. Now that I think about it.
The entire gala was them being the exact opposite of themselves.
Rarity being a brown noser.
Applejack not knowing what business was after running a national business.
Pinkie ruining a party.
Rainbow being clumsy and stupid at the same time.
Fluttershy demanding love from frightened critters.
Twilight having grown up with royalty and yet not ever having been to the Gala or knowing what the Princess' duties were.
Celestia was nice tho.
You know what? I'm provisionally putting this into my top favourites. Normally I only do this if the story is either complete, dead, or so far advanced in the plot that there's basically no chance of the author messing anything up unless they purposefully decide to piss off the readers and ruin the story.
Sometimes, though, I make an exception for an on-going story, when I trust the author enough to continue writing to the same standard, and not mess up any plot points either. I think only a couple so far have qualified, so to speak. And this story is now the newest one.
Well, there's our fucking traitor.
Am I the only one that keeps expecting the romance tag to pop up with out Ragdan and Luna act towards each other?
Are they ever going to see Cadence in this story though?
OK, I'm pretty sure that "Reagdan" is actually John Wick. cdn.hitfix.com/photos/5786670/Could__John_Wick__be_the_perfect__Doctor_Strange__.jpg

Just look at their faces!
Fluttershy seeing herself as Samwise Gamgee smacks of heresy and lies. Fluttershy is Sam. Fuck every other headcanon on the subject, the terrified gardener and the terrified non-licensed vet are the same person separated by a dimensional wall.

Raegdan, Matrix-dodging spears hurled by Noble-Agents.
I know it is a story decision but why would Luna stay behind under the shadow of her sister while she and her's is under assault? She should strike out and make a kingdom of her own somewhere else. Why stay and be insulted, hated and feared? There is nothing in this Equestria for Luna but scorn and hate.Edit: Sorry i already said this few chapters back and forgot about it.
Goddammit Blueblood
Damn, blue blood actually had a reason for being a shit? Daman, the story gets a favorite just for that.
FLUTTERSHY YOU FUCKING TRAITOR

I never got the hatred for him. I'd be no more thrilled with some random woman popping up out of nowhere and latching on to me like I was the last life preserver on the Titanic, myself.
EDIT:
Also I think Raegdan's armor might be based on yours, now that I'm looking at it. Yours or Sauron's. Don't really very well remember what his looked like, though.
Damn, I've been thinking, which is always a dangerous pastime, and I wonder if I could make my own armor similar to Raegdan's. I mean, he's obviously using a high-carbon steel, or Maybe even titanium or aluminum (if they exist and he can identify them in this world) or perhaps some alloy I don't know.
Hmm... For my purposes only the helm would need to be steel, and I'd probably have to make sure the spikes aren't too sharp or the marshals would throw me off the field faster than a rock tossed by an angry Gaurd...
Hmmm...
Oooooooh Fluttershy... you didn't... Oh boy...
Nice chapter man, nice chapter!
Love how you wrote out Blueblood, heheh, one of the more unique reasons he was being the way he was, hahaha.
It's kinda wearing on me that this is a story where the main characters are continuously being forced to relent and change themselves, while Twilight and the others get the moral high ground and only need to judge and approve. Certainly not as bad as some stories out on the site where they deal in crimes against humanity and mental and emotional rape for a cheap laugh in favor of something more substantial in terms of themes; but the fact that it brings up the relation is not a good thing.

A point here is that this is not about them relenting and changing as much as them taking PR advice mostly. One thing I really regret, and when I finish the story might revisit and edit, is that I am being too up-in-your-face about a few things and ignoring others in turn, especially in the first 12-20 chapters. I am trying to do better now and keep rethinking a lot of things to accomodate that.
Both and all sides make mistakes here, some of which are very heavy handed ones, but being called out on them a lot is not the story's intention. The intention has always been for the reader to make his own judgement in situations where reading between the lines and characters lie (to themselves and others) is key, and then challenge these judgements and turn them on their head whatever they are by revealing more and more, little by little. It is not a story of quick gratification where people (or ponies) quickly learn their lesson but one where the lesson is hard to learn, they keep stumbling, and change is slow and hard-earned.
I have placed two extremes in this story. Raegdan and Luna on one side, the main six on another. Whatever the conflict of Raegdan and Luna are, the one the main six face is being faced with an alternate morality and harsher choices. Of course they believe they are in the right. All their experiences so far show that, and they haven't had to deal with choices where there is no win. Notice how quick they are to condemn here. If you stick along, you will notice a slow change. Nothing that will radically change their character from in-show (as far as I get it right) but it is there.
But your point that I could be a little less blunt here stands nevertheless
Love you'r art, magnificent work
Damn... So mutch going on...
Where to start? Where to continue?
Sooo... This all is probably only the mountens tip...
