it deals with many things in one small story, even the fact that they can change the name (many people think that name has to stay always) so when AJ gives AB the "option" to change her name it was a nice option.
as for analogy... its more of a general analogy to doing something you are told not to do, yes she ate a pear, yes AJ is angry... but she still love AB even if she has to be PB now

Honestly, even though it may be a little over a thousand words, this is a fun and fully developed story, something that I couldn't get with a story with eleven thousand words. I was pleasantly surprised to find a primary theme in there as well, where other stories of this length seem to have a lack of.
