This is a side-story to The Grey In Between

Today, Lyra met a human. Today (or sometime this week, depending on how long it takes to get him release that shield spell he has around Twilight's library) she will gain a husband.

If you don't read The Grey In Between this story will make no sense.

Lyra and Bon Bon: foster parents? It'll happen, if they can only get past their sardonic caseworker, nerve-wracking inspections, and each others' neuroses. That's assuming things work out with any one of the children that passes through their home. After all of that, there's just the matter of the adoption and the birth relatives. Hugs, heartbreak, and humor will follow in droves.

Also, Lyra tries to cook soup.

Rainbow Dash has a problem.

She might be in love with Twilight Sparkle and has yet to admit it to anypony, least of all Twilight herself. After the events of Vanilla Twilight, the two have grown much closer together, spending more time together and sharing their interests. Unfortunately for Dash, Twilight hasn't caught on to her feelings yet, and she could be content with just letting things progress as they are...

If only she hadn't sent that blasted letter admitting it.

Now, thanks to a pair of meddling princesses, Rainbow Dash finds herself on a globe-trotting journey with the subject of her affections. On the surface, it might just seem like a simple task for the Princess, but for Rainbow Dash, it might be the very thing that forces her to come clean with her feelings, or forever face her doubts. For her, in the world of life and love, sometimes it's best to take it one dream and disaster at a time.

Twilight Sparkle is aware that the manipulation of matter at the sub-atomic level is a potential source of enormous amounts of free energy. She also knows that this is extremely dangerous, and that these spells are only for the highest level unicorns. She is therefore somewhat concerned to discover that Pinkie Pie has found another way to do this, with a curious contraption in the basement of Sugarcube Corner.

[Note, this story is set between Season 4 and 5, but is not related to the episode "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone." This is an alternate take on the Gilda Redemption idea.]

After Twilight Sparkle's new castle was inducted, all of her friends and family were excited to throw a Castle-Warming Party as a celebration. However, after the party ended, Twilight's fellow Elements were surprised to see Gilda in town as well. Of course, that wasn't nearly as surprising as finding out she had a marefriend.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching. It's a day of sweets and flowers, where people admit their feelings for each other and couples celebrate being together.

Aria Blaze, of all people, shows up at Pinkie Pie's, asking for Pinkie's help with baking. She refuses to say who it's for though, and even swears Pinkie to secrecy about this even happening. Who could Aria be baking for, and why doesn't she want anyone to find out?

Despite having lived for hundreds of years, Adagio, Aria and Sonata have never heard of Valentine's Day. Now that they know the basics, what better way to celebrate the idiotic holiday than taking over Canterlot High?

No matter what they try, though, Adagio and Aria are having no luck collecting valentines. How can they conquer the school like this? And where's Sonata gone off to?

The answer likely involves a taco or two. And maybe tequila. And definitely Pinkie Pie.
