This story is a sequel to The Traveling Tutor and the Diplomats Daughter

“You should have burned their aerie to the ground two centuries ago and killed every one of them when you had a chance, Tia.”

These words trigger a series of events that send four ponies to the far northern Misty Mountain Aerie where Wingmaster Talon is threatening to invade the newly discovered Crystal Empire. The Diplomat, Luna's Hoofmaiden, and two Royal Guards are to face hostile griffons and dangerous mountains in order to bring peace to the region and prevent a war.

But what they find in the mountains is far worse than they could imagine, and their only chance for survival becomes a race to escape in a battle to the death.

This story is a sequel to The Traveling Tutor and the Librarian

All Princess Sun Shines wants to do is escape from her stuffy room and explore the castle. All Green Grass wants to do is find some distraction to keep him from worrying about Twilight’s most recent dangerous mission. Can the two of them find a way to achieve their goals without starting a war?

Contains Fierce Neighponese Ninjas, Noble Alicorn Princesses, Carrot-Thirsty Lettuce-Eating Lapins, Poisonous Green Garden Hoses, Terrifying Twins, Death-Defying Nighttime Chariot Rides, and a dead fish.

Editing assistance provided by Fan of Most Everything, Bad Horse, MarMelMM , Peter , and Ghost of Heraclitus

This is a sequel to The Traveling Tutor and the Librarian but is written as a standalone. No previous knowledge of Twilight Sparkle and Green Grass’ relationship is needed, other than Greenie is finding out just how far over his head he has gotten.

Princess Sunny's story continues in Diplomacy by Other Means, a considerably darker tale of assault, murder, and the darkness that lies within the soul. Four diplomats travel to the Misty Mountain aerie to prevent war, and wind up in a race to escape and a fight to the death.

This story is a sequel to To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

When Rarity receives a commission from Princess Luna to design a new “Look” for the Night Court, she didn’t expect the job to include Luna’s own Hoofmaiden and one of her Night Guards for protection. Could Luna have an ulterior motive in sending two big city Nocturne pegasi to small town Ponyville, and would it have anything to do with Celestia’s new hybrid rosebush “Cupid’s Delight” or Luna’s new interest in genetics?

Adventures in fashion, love, and romance that unfold like a kick to the head with the two most hapless Night Pegasi ever to work for Princess Luna.

A stand alone story that can be easily read without the previous appearances of Laminia and Pumpernickel (in chronological order below):
To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
Two Unicorns Walk Into a Village
Genealogy (or the Mating Habits of nocturnes pegasi)
Diplomacy by Other Means
The Empty Crib

I would like to extend my thanks to AlicornPriest, an amazing editor who edited this story while being up to his neck in fanfics and overloaded, AND carrying on a full time college workload in the Real World too.

The source document for this story is stored here if you would like to comment directly on certain spots or point out grammar misteaks/tpypos in my otherwise perfect writing (Ha!). We’re glad to have you over and I hope you enjoy yourself.

Gather around children, and I will tell you stories of a time long ago. Back in the days when Princess Luna strode the night sky, bringing beauty and joy to the hearts of all ponies who truly appreciated the night, before she was banished to the moon by a jealous and cruel elder sister. It was Luna who created us and gave us our gifts, and someday if we are all loyal and follow the guidance she has left behind, we will see her return to take her place as our glorious Queen of the Night.

So pay heed, and listen closely. For it all started on a night like this...

(Started as a response to Aegis Shield's 60-Minute Writing Challenge. Parts of this show up in Genealogy (or the Mating Habits of Nocturnes Pegasi) as part of the Nocture Saga that I have been putting together.

Update: With an excellent narration by Bad Horse with the most amazing peacock I have ever heard.

Nightmare Moon may have been defeated, but Princess Luna still struggles with her inner nightmares. It was so easy to give into the temptations of power the first time, now that she had a taste of it, can she give it up for good? Or will she return to her old ways and have to be banished again, this time forever?

This story is a sequel to The Traveling Tutor and the Diplomats Daughter

A simple test with an unexpected result sends Princess Twilight Sparkle’s life in an unexpected direction, accelerating a high-speed collision course with the young magic tutor she met and fell in love with just over a year ago. But angry Griffons, arrogant Royals, in-laws and other mighty forces from Canterlot and beyond seek to tear the young lovers apart and enforce their own will upon their future regardless of either Twilight or Green Grass’ plans for a life together.

Too bad for them.

The history of war may be written by the winner, but the Royal Historian is the one who provides the notes and background to the writer. The recent events that some have called ‘Mare Wars’ or ‘The Invasion of the Barracks’ are no exception. The Royal Historian has painstakingly compiled this folder of notes and background material on what should more accurately be called, ‘The Opening of the Guard.’

Please remember to return the folder back to the Royal Historian when you have completed reading, in the event we gather more material that needs to be included.

This story is a sequel to A War of Words - The Opening of the Guard

For centuries, the stallions of the Royal Guard have protected Equestria from every danger imaginable.
Now they face a new threat to their position that will not be so easy to defeat.

Mares.

- - - * - - -

The story of four mares who answer the call to guard Princess Luna, and the troubles they go through to gain acceptance and respect in their new jobs. Or it could be considered to be the story of four interlopers into a traditionally male role and the underhanded tricks used to secure their position despite their obvious unsuitability for the job. Pick one.

Twilight Sparkle was quite positive she could handle the job of teaching young unicorn students in Ponyville how to handle their new magic, but when the school’s traveling magic teacher returns to town as scheduled, a series of miscommunications and accidents nearly drive the two of them crazy. Only the power of friendship (and a certain amount of tinkering from the townsponies) can save the day for them and their students before complete disaster strikes, but maybe there is a little more than friendship in store for the two young teachers.
[Comedy][Education][Slice of Cake] Featured on Equestria Daily. With a TV Tropes page and two sequels, The Traveling Tutor and the Diplomat's Daughter and The Traveling Tutor and The Royal Exam.

A lighthearted look at education, young love, dating and buckets of water in the face in that most normal of all small towns, Ponyville.

Caution: Contains bananas, marble chips, jogging, matrimonial planning, romantic interference, intrigue, lesson plans and lots of nuts. A whole town full of them.

Rated I for Innuendo, some drinking, some sleeping together (Just sleeping! Really! Why won’t you believe me?) and a great deal of dunking in the town fountain.

No cupcakes were harmed in the production of this fic. However, a great number were eaten. And they were yummy.
