Page needs a vacation.

He's not getting a vacation.

What he does get, is... how do they put it? Brand new exciting opportunities.
He never wanted to be a Prince, nor to rule. But he's stuck with the job, which means having ponies relying on him.
So he's doing his best.
Which would be fine, except ponies seem happy to keep finding brand new ways to make it harder for him.

Celestia awakens in a strange new place, her back aching with throbbing pain. The diagrams on the wall look like spines, but not pony ones. Was that a place to find help, or was something far more worrying afoot?

Sombra's takeover took everyone in the Crystal Empire by surprise. No one saw it coming, none were prepared for it, and almost no one got away. Almost.

A few hooffuls of daring souls managed to break out of the city and flee southwards, towards Equestria. Some ran to beg the Princesses for aid, others - just to save themselves and their families from the mad tyrant.

But as the refugees are about to learn, it's the dead of winter outside the Empire's shield, and the crystal ponies are far too used to their warm life in the city. One filly that gets separated from her parents while trying to get away learns that fact all too painfully...

In the midst of another conflict with the Changeling Queen, fighting over the next macguffin with the potential to change the fate of the entire world, Twilight decides to propose a challenge of sort to Chrysalis.

Twilight believes that it is possible for Chrysalis to have a normal life, a good life, one where she doesn't have to worry about the hunger that have cost her so much, all without needing to change (too much) who she is.

Chrysalis is, understandably, skeptical about that, but nevertheless she take the challenge, even if it's just to prove how wrong Twilight is.

But... would it be that bad if Twilight was right? After all, a good life, a life without hunger, does sounds nice. But is that what Chrysalis truly wants? Would she be okay with just that? How much would she be willing to change for a good life? And at what point would she had changed so much that she has stopped being herself and has become someone completely different? Would she even be herself at that moment?

These are the questions that Chrysalis will have to face to obtain her answer.

Everyone, Thorax especially, is looking forward to the changelings' first Hearth's Warming Eve - though Pharynx is more skeptical. But as winter sets in, it seems the changelings are struggling to fight against the base instincts they've spent their whole lives following. When forced to make a tough decision, will Thorax have to accept that some things truly were done for the good of the Hive, or will he manage to carry his subjects through the winter?

Imprisoned in a life marked by solitude and monotony, he sees his existence shift into a surreal strangeness. A new opportunity to become someone better and happier ? Or should he let his new Changeling nature and his new mother guide his life for better or for worse?

It's been a few days since the Canterlot Wedding of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor. But the wounds are still fresh on the minds of everypony. The Mane 6 complete their community service to clean up from the attack. They then return to Ponyville where they intend to make things up to Twilight, meanwhile, Shining Armor is on his honeymoon with Cadance but is not able to completely enjoy himself as the words he said to his sister still haunt him. Meanwhile, Queen Chrysalis plots her revenge on them for her defeat.
