Twilight was kicked out of the wedding by her brother Shining Armor and then abandoned by her friends and mentor after accusing Princess Cadance of being evil. But it turned she was right, Princess Cadance was really Queen Chrysalis in disguise while the real Cadance was trapped beneath Canterlot. Twilight found her and brought her back, proving she was right. In the midst of all that chaos, only one pony had the chance to apologize, but the others need to say their peace as well after the changelings are defeated.
My first fanfiction, inspired by other stories including Post Nupitials, Canterlot Healing Process, and Little Sister Best Friend Forever. Part of my Headcanon and Apology Verses.

Thanks, I noticed they were a bit cramped together when I copied and pasted them. I think I will do some editing and have Cadence say more. I've read your story a couple times. Always found those kinds hurtful. Even though I hate how Twilight was treated at the wedding rehearsal I don't feel pleasure having her be cruel back to her friends, anger is understandable but I prefer forgiveness. When did that happen? Her magic is usually pinkish red. Though I have seen her use dark magic at one point which had the same aura as King Sombra.

Her magic was purple all throughout season 1 and it was changed to pink in season 2. And Celestia's magic was blue in a few episodes and pink in a few episodes, before yellow was finally settled on in Lesson Zero.

Well that's animation choices I guess. Well, it was clearly a hint that she wasn't the same Cadence regardless.
Well, what I really like about this story is how meticulously it tries to fill in the gaps that A Canterlot Wedding left unanswered. The execution would deserve a lot of polishing though. Especially the first chapter is full of rather redundant exposition and mere statements (also known as ‘telling’) that don’t really help build up the atmosphere. Furthermore, remember that conveying something to the reader once is enough. The audience learn Shining’s side of the story from his dialogue in the first chapter, and suddenly are forced to listen to the very same tale all through chapter two without learning anything new. Also, watch out for rough and rapid jumps in dialogue, as well as some unnecessarily melodramatic lines.

I know This is kinda out of the way but in my honest, I feel as if though the second chapter should’ve been repurposed as a bonus chapter for anyone who would want to read through it do whatever reason. Say what you want but that’s just me.

Yeah, what her friends did was pretty over the top. And I thought that Celestia really should have said sorry instead of you have a real wedding to put together. It was probably cause the writers didnt have much time left to include an apology along with the wedding and song. So the apology had to happen offscreen.

Yeah seriously. Should have just had them all apologize even briefly, have Celestia, Shining Armor and the others approach her and bow their heads at the very least and she hugs them in forgiveness like Starlight Glimmer did in the final Season 5 song.
Though if it had been me I would have Celestia say something like. "Oh, Twilight! I'm so sorry!" when she got out of the cocoon.
"We're all sorry, Twi," Applejack said as the others nod.
"Me to, Twilie," Shining said with tears of remorse. "You were right about her."
"But not about the real Cadance," Twilight said smiling at her former foalsitter. "I believe we have a real wedding to put together."
"Then, will you be Best Mare again?" Shining asked with a small smile.
She nodded, they all hugged her thankfully and then began the preparations.
It probably would have taken just 30 seconds, skip the view of Cadance seeing the preparations and then go straight to the wedding and song.

Honestly Shining and Cadence are the only ones who shouldn’t have to apologize. Shining was literally brainwashed with a spell and Cadence wasn’t there.

It is unclear whether or not the brainwashing was responsible. Shining Armor showed a jerkish side now and then like being cocky in Sparkle Seven and being hateful toward changelings, so it COULD have been him. And I never had Cadance apologize.
I like this story, especially since they actually realize what could have happened if Twilight never even returned to the wedding after bring trapped.
There's a story on fimfiction that actually goes over an alternate universe on what would have happened if Twilight never even gone to the wedding, let's just say it ain't pretty.
