A charity concert played by the violinist star Melodia Allgrezza, and the chance meeting with the matron of the Heartstrings family leads Octavia to reunite with an old university acquaintance, Lyra Heartstrings. The two of them chat it up and it is revealed that Lyra has a friendly date with Vinyl Scratch, her friend for many years. Octavia is invited along and accepts, joining the two for a night of fun. It quickly develops, however, to something much more than that. For of all the things that Octavia had expected to see when she met up with this Vinyl, it was definitely not a near copy of Melodia Allegrezza.
Curiosity is a virtue, they say, and Octavia's drives her to one question that she will see answered no matter what: What is the relationship between Melodia and Vinyl Scratch? Who are they?

And here we go! My first (chaptered) TaviScratch story! I hope you guys like what you see so far.
I have been sitting with this idea since later summer 2013, and I finally got the chance to write it! This story isn't going to be your usual TaviScratch, I hope, and I will do what I can to mercilessly slaughter and then crush and then burn every trope I come across. I want to bring you guys something unique, and this will be it.

Vinyl travels the world to spin the wheels of steel. Octavia takes her skills as a cellist to wherever her orchestra needs to. They've been rooting for each other's success for near a decade, finding that the more they achieve, the more packed their schedules become, leaving little time for them to hang as they did when they first met. To remedy this, they decided to start a blog just for the two of them to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences as they work to achieve bigger and better things in their industry. What will they learn learn about each other when it comes time to put digital pen to paper? What they learn from each other about what it means to live? How will this shape the course of their relationship?(from the Rainbow 8 universe iteration of their characters)

Vinyl Scratch and Octavia are preparing for their first child. However, Vinyl has some worries about maturity and responsibility.

They key words here are 'Slice of Life'. I never intended this to have a big complicated plot, or a strong moral or whatever. It's just a simple snippet of their life. Don't take it too seriously.

My name is Octavia Harmonious Melody, and I am mentally deranged… No no, I assure you, I'm quite serious. For the past three years I have lived with a voice inside my head, a crazed, lunatic of a voice, who I, through the displeasure of living with for the past three years, have come to almost befriend...

Almost.

Now my childhood friend-turned-enemy, Vinyl Scratch, is inviting me to further my musical prowess by living under the same roof as her, and as much as I can barely stand the sight of her, she represents what may be my last chance at closure and sanity. The irony of which being that I'm sure she's already insane, if not pushing me towards it.
Although, to her credit, she's a nice enough mare, maybe if I could stop the voice in my head for a minute we could grow to become friends again…
...it isn't a sin to dream, is it?

Octavia comes home frustrated one evening. Vinyl cuddles with her to make it better. Short, sweet, silly.

Vinyl Scratch and Octavia moved in together a few months ago, and have been together even longer. Be that as it may, Octavia has never seen her lover without her trademark glasses, and she can't help but wonder why.

Octavia has always been obsessed with the occult, specifically vampires. She dreams of being a creature of the night, soaring through the air, sucking the blood from her victims.That's all it ever was though, a dream.
Or at least it was until she met Vinyl Scratch. Now Octavia is the servant of the all powerful vampire. In return for services rendered, Vinyl will make Octavia's dream into a reality.

A reality Vinyl wants no part of, but she does have to admit, Octavia has her uses.

Vinyl and her wife Octavia are expecting their baby soon. They've waited nine months for the baby to come to terms, but why are things making them wait longer? And why does everything have to be so PAINFUL?

When it comes to summer, most of us think about beaches, vacationing, travel, BBQ's, pool parties, etc. But for two girls, all they can think about is each other.
