Short, silly Octascratch wherein Vinyl Scratch comes home to Octavia in an awesome vampire cape. Has Vinyl become a terrifying creature of dark passions? Will Octavia be amused? (Spoilers: no.) Is there a twist where it's not Vinyl who's the vampire but Octavia instead? (Spoiler: also no.) Or perhaps Vinyl has simply been reading way too many vampire novels recently? (Spoiler: it's that one!)

Three years and Vinyl Scratch still feels the pain. Wanting to make it better, she would do anything to get back her Tavi. Even if she has to give up dubstep

Vinyl just wanted to go to a school where social statuses could not matter less. Fresh from expulsion from a string of private institutions, she enters Greyside Public School with great optimism and hopes of making some true friends. Little does she know that a certain grey mare from the past is in her class. A grey mare who is barricaded so deeply within herself no pony can hope to bring her out. Nopony except one.

Vinyl lives life to the fullest but wants to know what love is. Octavia got her heart broken and never wants to get close to anyone ever again. How will things play out when Vinyl sets her eyes on Octavia? Will she change Octavia's mind or will someone get in the way?

I've always loved living in Canterlot. It was never particularly "bad". Everypony was classy and kind. Just like me. Or so I thought. Sometimes, a mare needs a change of scenery. To get away from the evils of discrimination. I guess that's why I moved to Ponyville. To get away from the sight of discrimination against Ponyvillians. I never guessed that the decision to move to Ponyville, would be the thing that would lead me to the mare of my dreams. My name is Octavia. I am a violinist, and former cellist and resident of Canterlot. I am going to tell you the story of how I met the greatest pony in the world, the mare of my dreams and how my feelings for her grew as I lived with her. The story of the greatest decision of my life.
