After attending Rainbow Dash and Applejack's wedding, one thing and one thing alone plagues Octavia's mind. Unfortunately, she makes the mistake of telling her marefriend, who responds in the worst way. Seeking refuge from the conflict, Vinyl Scratch attends a gig in Las Pegasus. On the way, she meets a colt whose actions will change the future of ponies that he hasn't even met yet.

It seemed so simple. An afternoon out with friends and the ones you love, but life is rarely predictable. It only takes a moment to throw someone's life upside down.

Living as an independent DJ has given Vinyl Scratch a rough life. Things are not easy, and they're getting tougher. When she meets Octavia Philharmonica, she finds herself entranced as well as filled with resentment. Only time will tell if their connection through music will spawn a beautiful relationship or a formidable rivalry.

Jake is given the opportunity of a lifetime when the technology to bring him to Equestria arises. He will be chosen at random to become one of the ponies in a virtual representation of Ponyville. Will everything go as planned? Or is there something deeper to it all?

A different take on a HiE fic, these humans will become ponies from the show.

After the treacherous happenings of In the Background, Octavia and Vinyl managed to escape with only scars and nightmares of their time in the Everfree. Octavia, on the other hand, is now being haunted by nightmares that are slowly revealing that the mysterious alicorn of nursery rhymes exists and has freed himself from his imprisonment. Are they all chess pieces in a large plot to kill the princesses in a power struggle that caused the sisters to split in the first place?

After the mishap of the Grand Galloping Gala, Octavia Pie's Prestigious Classical Career came to a screeching halt as the disgruntled party planner fired her for her mistaken playful participation in the Pony Pokey. Feeling down and angry, Octavia can only look to the future and hope to salvage what's left of her reputation, and with a surprise opportunity, she plans on presenting Equestria with a masterpiece. The road to find inspiration is a long an arduous one, but one can only dream of the gifts and realizations that lie at the end.

Octavia was always one for competition. Unless, that is, the competition is forced upon her by the mare of her nightmares. And it's not that she's ever had a problem with Canterlot nightlife; she just has a problem with ponies named Vinyl Scratch. Not that anypony knows why, though, and Octavia isn't about to share embarrassing secrets.

Hey, everyone. OtterMatt here. Just for the record, I’m not coming back to FimFic. Not ever. I’m sorry to say it, but my life has moved on, as it were, and writing just isn’t a part of it anymore. That being said, I love these stories of mine very much. There’s a lot of myself that I put into them, and at least a couple people have told me that these stories meant a lot to them as well. Vinyl Scratch was always an odd one, seemingly hating classical music yet always willing to go with Lyra and Bonbon with a little convincing. One evening they see Octavia perform, and the songs are more than familiar to Vinyl. Realizing that Octavia is playing songs that Vinyl herself had composed when she was younger. Over time and through many trials with her new friends, Octavia discovers that there's a little more to Vinyl than she initially thought.
