Octavia's performance at the wedding of Princess Cadence was cancelled, and her ensemble was replaced by a mysterious DJ! When she goes to investigate, she discovers a world of music she never imagined from the turntables of Vinyl Scratch. She takes a chance and follows the DJ back to her home in Ponyville, and begins a journey full of music, love, laughs, some tears (maybe?), and... an evil plot!? What?

Let's read along, shall we? But brace yourself... it's gonna take a while.

Vinyl Scratch was first and foremost a party pony. Yes, her music was her passion but party was her life. After a eventful night, a drunk Vinyl calls a friend for help. Vinyl wakes up in a strange bed filled with a familiar scent. Her mind racing as she connected the dots leads her to entertain erotic thoughts. However, the truth is far from what it seems. Octavia's love for Vinyl isn't something she can put into words and she doesn't really understand the concept but her ramblings inspire Vinyl to speak her mind, even if the mare in question is asleep.

Octavia and Vinyl tell each other meaningful stories about key aspects in life.

One was a story that was learned and shared.

The other story is told through a blank picture frame.

And even though a blank picture frame seems like, literally, an ordinary, blank picture frame, it turns out there is far more to it than meets the eye.

They learn something out of it.

Due to a conversation ending in a bet that Octavia had to have a night of fun, she now has to go out to a 'gig' as Vinyl says and have fun or well, not.

A celebratory story for reaching seventy-five followers.

Octavia felt silly, but waking Vinyl Scratch from her sleep was really the only option. A nightmare had scared her from her bed, and now she just needed somepony to talk to for reassurance. Her friend figures a little tea and a chat might just do the trick.

Time for the first Canterlot Ball. Vinyl attends as Octavia performs. What could possibly go wrong?

Ever since prohibition was ratified in Equestria, many businesses felt a sudden dip in profits. There was only one business that actually became more lucrative when alcohol was outlawed: Organized crime.

Octavia Melody is a "made man", a part of the Pie Crime Family for as long as she could remember, climbing the ranks from messenger to drug runner to one of Maud Pie's most trusted lieutenants. Things have been great, for the most part. She can't stop thinking about her mistakes, and the pain in her arm refused to go away, but she has more money and power than she really knows what to do with. So she goes about her business, sinning in the morning and praying for forgiveness in the evening. Things are about as good as they get with such a dangerous, uncertain lifestyle.
