I was watching Friday Night Fights one night, when suddenly, after watching a couple of particularly vicious KOs, the idea started to percolate around in my creative coffee pot. I hashed out the outline before inspiration decided to go back to napping, and now here it is. I actually got through half of the journal entries for the next entry before the power brick for my laptop bricked, leaving me unable to do anything further. For now, the HDD it's on is rendered unaccesable by external circumstances, so I'm reconsidering redoing those entries by hand, then typing them up, same with the other parts of the story

Techy friend thinks it's a fixable problem with one of the sectors of it, and I'm hoping to get it looked at so that, once and for all, I can decide if I need to save up for a new portable HDD

Please do keep in mind that should one expect to grant advice on basic writing and flow, you must first display your own ability to write in such a manner. Aside from that, the story looks rather interesting, and therefor merits credit where it is due. First of all, the concept of ponies engaging in a bout of fisticuffs is rather appealing in a similar manner as to that of "Fighting is Magic", even while the two are quite differing in general principle. You have also managed to display something more to the characters than merely a state of generic, underdeveloped stereotype. But on the other hand, you should really consider revising the wording and flow of this story. The paragraphs do greatly exceed that of most of the high grade ones on this site, and may daunt the reader where a more even and shorter spacing will not. Keep in mind that this is fimfiction.net, not Tor Fantasy. Overall, this seems to be quite reasonable, however. Keep up the good work, dearest author.

I think it worked out better, but what do you think?

That's the reason fights like the one between Goku and Frieza(rumored to have been the final fight of the series before outside pressure forced Toriyama to keep it going) go as long as they do. Fights are like any other form of story telling, in that they have an intro, build up, climax and resolution, when done well.

Hate to be a downer, but it doesn't matter how much Twilight trains in a short period of time. Applejack's body is built up over a life time of heavy lifting. One punch and Twilight will end up in the hospital. That's why unicorns use magic against Earth Ponies. RD could take her as long she is fast enough not to get hit.
