After being separated from the darker, uninhibited versions of themselves, Celestia and Luna set out to reform them. After months of work, training, and discussions to set the pair on a better path, the sisters host both Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker together in a private, casual dinner to see how well the two have been listening.

To the average Equestrian, Hearth's Warming means many things; the gathering of friends and family, the exchange of stories and gifts, or a moment to rest and reflect. But, for two formerly royal sisters, the holiday means something a little more.

Young inventor Twilight Sparkle has always been a creative mare, and that creativity is about to pay off in a world where she’ll uncover the existence of pegasi and unicorns, tribes long forgotten in Equestrian history, and ends up having to deal with the return of the legends of Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker.

Note: I know that a few people have done this, so I wanted to make a story of my own for if we’d gotten the Mane 6 as we saw them in the Gen 5 concept art and what I would do. Know that I did mix and match some concept art designs based on what I felt would work, and that I had to come up with Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker’s designs on my own.

Also, a surprise character will be joining the Mane 6 (making it rather the Mane 7). You’ll know who it is soon enough.

WARNING: I’m not very good at world building, so don’t expect much, or any. Keep that in mind as you’re reading this. Fortunately, that means the way everything looks is open to interpretation.

In an alternate universe where Discord is ruler of Equestria as the only one powerful enough to raise the sun and moon, Big Mac, the Element of Kindness, and Daybreaker, an ex-tyrannical fiery overlady, have been friends for quite some time.

Big Mac knows how to read certain details about her. It keeps him in tune with her. That’s what friends do, right? And that’s what they are. Friends.

Right?

The title kind of came from the AU’s ‘parody’ of Keep Calm and Flutter On called Be The Bigger Mac Pony.

This is a one shot story to try to get the writing train running better. I edited the picture to hide spoilers(just in case).

Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Luna, was never one for Friendship or much of anything that didn't involve drugs, sex or rock and roll. She was ordered to off to Ponyville to manage the Winter Night Festival, in the hopes that a week of detox would set her back on an upstanding path.

However, not all goes as planned when Luna's sister, the tyrannical despot Daybreaker, escapes her imprisonment within the Sun and returns to destroy Equestria. Accompanied by a motley crew of local ponies, Sunset must work to save Equestria, and maybe even make a few friends along the way.

She wanted peace. She wanted diplomacy. She wanted harmony and friendship.

She got war.

With the armies of the Changeling Lands marching through Equestria, overwhelming any and all resistance they encounter, Princess Celestia has had to resort to increasingly drastic measures to save her country and the ponies that live in it. But while her sister leads the armies from the front and her ponies fight and die in the name of princesses and country, Celestia feels useless and inadequate in Canterlot. After all, she was supposed to protect her precious little ponies. How had she failed them so badly?

Those doubts and worries gradually gnaw away at her, day after day and month after month. Until one day, she reaches a tipping point, the point of no return:

She will save Equestria, no matter what it takes.

Jacob Vail was never that exceptional, when others were playing in summer sports he was helping his great-aunt with her impressive relic collection, but upon her death he finds that she has left him more than just memories and a dusty bunch of weird items. He finds that not all the objects in her collection are entirely normal or from our world… the one item that stands out the most to him is a statue of a winged unicorn adorned in armor holding up the moon. What he doesn’t realize is that the stone he pulled from the statue is not just a shiny rock, but something special and that it holds a secret that many others wish to possess…

In another universe, far from the one we know (but not too far), a butterfly flapped its wings. A baby was born, as we well know. But rather than being white, with a mane formed from a prism of color, this filly was blue, close to pitch, with a softer blue mane. Her parents lovingly named her Luna. Not too long after, they had another baby. White, this time. I'm sure you know what to imagine. They named this filly Celestia; thus, our two royal sisters were born.
And, due to this one small change in what was now ancient history, we must begin anew; hear the story from the beginning. A familiar story, and yet so very, very different.

Over a thousand years later, a young unicorn mare named Sunset Shimmer studies under the ruling princess of Equestria, Luna. With her sharp mind and spiky exterior, she's more than happy to spend her days alone, dedicated to her magical studies. She's made great strides with no one but her teacher and dutiful assistant, but when Equestria is faced with a forgotten villain of legend and she's the only one left who knows how to defeat her, "going it alone" may not be an option any longer.

Using the time travel spell, she decides to travel to alternate timelines to find out what the life of the ponies in the alternate timeline is like. Twilight Sparkle arrives in alternative timeline that leaves her quite surprised. Luna is the ruler of Equestria and not Celestia. Sunset Shimmer is the Princess Luna student. After this shock, she explores this different Equestria and tries to accept this alternate timeline and return home and tell Spike.
