Rainbow Dash gets a fortune cookie that says she will a get what's coming to her. She doesn't believe it but as the day goes on, the worse things get.

In the halls of the Crystal Palace, Rarity has a dinner and a conversation with her young ward about several things. It ends up changing a lot of things between them.

Not connected to my other story; this is just something I got inspired to write one night.

Developing romantic feelings for a friend is awkward.

It's extra awkward when you're a ruler, they're an ambassador of another nation, and oh, bonus, they were raised immersed in that nation's culture and so you have no idea if the signals you're trying to give are even being picked up on.

On a visit to Ponyville to catch up with Spike, Ember has just noticed how handsome her first and best friend has gotten, and has no idea what to do with herself about it. She needs to figure that out asap, and so needs some advice, badly. Thankfully, ponies are good with mushy-feely things, so she just needs to track down the local romance expert and shake them down.

And hopefully not burn the town down in the process.

Twilight and her friends are leaving for a week-long vacation, leaving Ponyville in the very capable hooves of Lyra and Bon-Bon.

What's the worst that could happen?

Written for the February Write-Off.

Applejack's cousin from Las Pegasus, a dancer, comes to visit, and catches everyone off guard. Especially Spike, who is instantly smitten with the young mare--and Rarity is none too happy about it.

Twilight's just received her official government escort license, which allows her to legally take on passengers during a teleport. Unfortunately, the fee was hideously expensive -- enough to completely wipe out all her spare bits. And there's a major purchase coming up which she refuses to put off. So what better way to raise the money than by giving her freshly-approved skill a workout? After all, it's winter, it's cold, ponies will get home all the faster, and since Twilight knows what 'escort' means, so will everypony else.

It's probably best not to bet on that last part.

This story takes place a week after the events of A Dog and A Pony Show.

Rarity was rescued by her friends from the vicious, jewel-hoarding Diamond Dogs after they had kidnapped her whilst hunting for gems with Spike. Upon escaping captivity with her friends, they had also managed to secure some of their horde for themselves, but was taking the carts of gems evening both parties, or was it stealing? Rarity, as the Bearer of The Element of Generosity, begins to have second thoughts and she heads back to the den of the Diamond Dogs.

Was this a smart move, or would it prove to be a big mistake?

On a cold, wintry night, someone knocks on Rarity's door. Who could it be? And who would go out now, especially with such a heavy snowfall?

You ended up in Equestria about two years ago, and in that time, you've become quite close with a number of ponies. Of them, Rarity in particular has left a major impression on you. She seems to enjoy having you around, and you appreciate the company.

That said, there is one major roadblock getting in the way of your relationship. More than anypony you know, Rarity is extremely concerned with keeping up appearances. As a fashion designer and all-around fabulous mare, she frequently wants your opinion on how she looks.

Unfortunately for you, you're a human with no way of telling what makes a pony "beautiful."

Vinyl can’t sleep, but, as she will find out, she is not the only one.
