Going to the local arcade isn't new for Button Mash. Whenever he got his allowance, he would spend nearly every bit he earned for a few minutes of game play. During one of his game play sessions, he's surprised to be payed a visit by a filly his age who she claims to be called Double Points. Him and her engage in Gaming Combat.

Button Mash didn't ask for much for Hearth's Warming Eve. He didn't ask to have his life upended, his home left in tatters, and to spend his evening packing to leave Ponyville forever.

On the other hoof, he also didn't ask to sit next to a stranger on the train, to be given her charity far more than he deserved, and to find in her a kinship he didn't expect.

But sometimes, you can find warmth in the most unlikely of places.

After getting involved in a fight at school, Button Mash is sent to the vice principal's office.

Sunburst gets to the bottom of Button's aggressions, and suggests that he find a creative outlet for his angst. He recommends participating in the school's spring play production.

Button offers some creative alterations to the script.

Button is awaited. In Valhalla, no less. All he has to do to get there is one deed, one act of courage, planning and strength to prove himself worthy. It starts with the gathering of weapons and the spraying of the mouth, and ends with a bang.

But Button wouldn't just spray himself with chrome for a movie, would he? After all, maybe he wasn't the only one who was inspired by it.
