Theodor Pichler knew joining the Barrow Observatory's winter crew would be a difficult position. Surrounded by the Everfree Forest, filled with delinquents, devoid of morals and any real sources of magic, Ponyville is the worst place to live in all of Equestria. But it also has the cheapest rent and Twilight's life just collapsed to the point where she can't afford to live anywhere else.

Perhaps the only thing Twilight has going for her now is that Rarity, the most powerful pony in town, has taken a liking to her. Rarity is eloquent, but the leader of a gang. She's beautiful and intriguing, but the most irreverent and delinquent pony Twilight has ever met. Rumors swirl around her. Some ponies even say she and her entire gang are all vampires.

But Twilight is smart enough to not give in to temptations. Or join a gang. Or become a vampire.

Twilight Sparkle, the Solar Regent, was frustrated. She’d never had a chance against Nightmare Moon, and now she had to live with the consequences of her failure and the moon goddess on the throne beside her.

Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard, was frustrated. His liege was gone. His marefriend was somewhere doing something. His sister was showing all the early warning signs of one of her infamous breakdowns. Worst of all, everypony was keeping secrets.

Sweetie Drops, Equestrian special agent, was frustrated. Work kept piling up, and there seemed to be more and more monsters to fight every day. She needed help.

Cadance, the Crystal Princess, was frustrated. Being somepony’s snack was beneath her, but needs must.

Tempest Shadow, wanderer, was frustrated. Why did life always insist on kicking her while she was down? If it wanted to maintain even the pretext of fairness, her next destination would be her last.

Luna, the Lunar Diarch, was delighted. Everything had gone perfectly since her return from exile.

In an Equestria where the mirror portal didn't exist; a very different fate awaits Sunset Shimmer.

Twilight Sparkle wakes up one day feeling strange. Everything is gigantic, her tail is wrong, and she can't help but notice all the unusual smells. Her hopes that it might be one of Discord's strange pranks are quickly dashed, as she discovers the effect is more widespread than she initially guessed. Twilight Sparkle is an Espeon now.

But will Equestria survive it?

Together, they will encounter many tough Pokemon in this world, explore Mystery Dungeons to aid others or stop evildoers from causing harm to the innocent, and discover new things the likes of which no Pokemon has ever known. If the Mane Six have any chance of returning home, they'll have to get used to their new bodies until Twilight figures out how to get them home without her unicorn magic while also helping others with their new friends.
