Rarity discovers an old tradition involving the exchange of felt dolls as a sign of affection. This sparks a brilliant plan to play matchmaker with her friends, and between herself and Twilight.

There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.

Applejack has brushed her mane, put a ribbon on her hat, and there's a sway in her step. Most ponies just want to know who the special pony is.

Rainbow Dash doesn't buy it. Love is mushy, and AJ isn't mushy. Love means liking somepony more than her friends, and AJ would never like another pony more than Dash. Love means missing a game of horseshoes to go tell a pony that she's in love with them, and if there is one thing Dash is sure of, it's that AJ is not going to miss that game... no matter what Applejack thinks about it.

Rainbow Dash saved Spike from a dragon attack--and paid for it dearly. Now she's severely scarred on one half of her body, in constant pain, and unable to fly, and she becomes a recluse in her own house. Spike feels guilty but helpless, and recent ex-marefriend Applejack is determined to get her out of her house and back to normal.
But when you take everything away from a pony, how can you expect her to ever be normal again?

Octavia and Harmonia Philharmonica were on their way to Manehattan, ready to fulfill their duty as granddaughters and visit Nana. Vinyl Scratch and her brother Long Play were traveling back home from a concert in Canterlot, the first that Vinyl had ever attended. Pure serendipity facilitated these pairs' first meeting.

Octavia Melody and Vinyl Scratch are a lovely Manehatten couple and have been together for nearly a year and a half. They are happy and in love, the only problem is Octavia is a changeling. Octavia has been on the run for a long time and just when things are going there best it looks like her past has finally caught up with her. Everypony used to know the name Vinyl Scratch, but she's been forgotten. Everypony knows the name Octavia Philharmonica, and it will be known long after she dies. Vinyl Scratch is a DJ by the alias DJ-PoN3. Octavia is a world-class cellist. What do they have in common? I have no idea. Why do they meet? Not a clue. Why don't we find out?

When a life is coming to an end, it is for those left behind to tell the rest of the world how that pony’s life was.

Applejack discovers a dark secret about Rainbow Dash.

She can't cook.

Out of the kindness of her heart, Applejack tries to teach Rainbow Dash a few basic recipes. But what starts as a cooking lesson soon turns into a bit more than that, especially when sparks start to fly - both figuratively and literally. Through this culinary misadventure, Applejack and Dash quickly discover that the potential exists for them to become more than just friends.

But will this relationship prove successful, should they choose to pursue it? What will their friends and Applejack's family think? Will Dash to actually learn how to cook? Only time will tell...
