Being an alien on a planet of herbivores comes with it's whole set of issues. Plus what if you contract a disease that they don't know about and end up becoming patient zero in an outbreak. And while fish may help you, I don't think the ponies know enough about human nutrition requirements to help you survive as a pescatarian. Especially because you'll need a lot of iron in your diet. Not to mention calcium and removing all the hay from foods.
It's generally for the best.
Though there is something really funny about becoming a chestnut pony with a chocolate mane. Kinda reminds me of a horse toy my favorite librarian had. Though maybe the mane on the horse toy was white; it's been I wanna say over a decade since I've seen her.

Griffons, hippogriffs, dragons and most of Klugetown would like to have a word with you. Ponies go fishing and have carnivorous pets like Opalescence, too.
If they can change someone's entire body to something completely different, then curing diseases is a breeze for them.
