This story is a sequel to Working Girl Sunny
When they decided to start Anon-A-Miss, Apple Bloom and her friends believed they were delivering retribution to a nasty school bully. Sunset had been a cruel monster, and so she deserved some cruelty to be thrown at her.
But to their horror, their actions will have greater consequences than they could've ever imagined.
How will they cope with what they have done?
How will Sunset's friends cope with their guilt over having abandoned Sunset when she needed them the most?
This story is the fourth of the Sunset's Step series, my take on Sunset's redemption.
I liked my take better.
I would’ve liked Sunset’s fake death to go on longer or the build up to them “finding out” being extended.
But it is enjoyable so far!
Bravo! i liked this one more than the other.
Wait... what happened to Life is a Rollercoaster?
I liked both.... but this works even better and was more fun IMO.
more another a interesting anon-a-miss's story
Dang
Now this is how you tell an, "actions have consequences", story.
Erm...sorry, this is implausible for a number of reasons.
Firstly, a sting op to draw a confession out like that is not considered usable evidence in a case, as it was extracted using dishonest means.
Second, a policeman cannot just dish out community service orders. Only a judge or a magistrate can issue community service as a punishment if the subject is found guilty in a trial. The case has not gone to trial, and the CMC have not been found guilty of anything, ergo such an order cannot be imposed.
I always love how the cop tells these kids for being huge jerks that hurt everyone around them and for what revenge which doesn't get you far in the long run.
There were a handful of grammar errors, but still the concept was great. I still like the original as well, but this one was still great, and much better than most Anon A Miss fics on this site.
Good job! 🥂
I don't fully agree with forgiving someone the way Sunset suggested, because.
To forgive someone that person must ACTUALLY regret what they done and changed for the better.
Gild here changed and even confess to why she actted the way she did, but only after going through a lot.
How do we know some of the ones regret what they done or won't pretend to change and use it as means to backstab someone?
Also how much do you forgive, do you forgive them for everything they done from petty stuff to life ruining events?
I know this is pretty much the same thing as the old story, but I still prefer the old one a lot more.

They do mean it though is the thing and they're willing to put in the effort. The desire to do better and show they are more then who they once were? THAT is why they deserve forgiveness and why they deserve to move forward. It's what they should do and what they deserve.
11075636
Now are you talking about the Rainbooms or the ones they are going to try and forgive and such?
Because I was talking the other characters the Rainbooms are suppose to forgive and try to befriend.
Suri Puri Straw Berry, Fluer and so.
Gilda did change for the better, because she went through her own trails by fire and made it through.
What about the others?
But in the end it felt like if someone wronged you, you HAVE to forgive them and offer them another chance, no matter what they did to you.
That the message I felt was being said.
11075986
Well I'm pretty sure that's not what the author intended. It's been made pretty clear that The Rainbooms forgiving them is to show they can let go of grudges and start anew, proving themselves worthy of Sunset's forgiveness in return. Rainbow's grudge towards Gilda probably isn't something that happened recently, and so if Rainbow did have a grudge towards her, it proves that there are things that they aren't willing to let go. And that's precisely what Sunset didn't want, she'd done horrible stuff before as well, and the Rainbooms only truly forgive her AFTER giving her a chance and hanging out with her. So if they can do that to Sunset, who had already done so much terrible stuff, why couldn't they do the same to people they hold grudges on?
11076236
I know but Sunset been trying to change and done a good job, Gilda as well, but yeah Rainbow didn't know that.
So in way she was taking a chance.
The other characters I no idea, remember one of them is Suri Puri, and you know what she done, and how she treats CoCo as a slave.
What if the human version is the same?
Also this is a revised version of the original one that was written, just way shorter.
There was a encounter withthe Dazzlings who acted they learned their lesson before revealing they didn't and laughed.
So what if they they lost their powers they had a back up plan oldes and oldes and odles of cash they had swindle, charmed, stolen over the centuries to live a LIFE STYLE OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS.
Even said if they wanted they could make Sunset disappear as she was alone, before laughing at her fear and misery and walked off.
I'm guessing be a new fate for them in this series.
11076255
Well but that's not the point of that particular decision is it? The whole point is for them to let go of their grudge, and if the people they previously hold grudges on aren't worth forgiving, then so be it. But they have to show that they are willing to forgive and start anew first.
11072002
I did consider that...but I felt its the kind of prank that should only go on for about a few minutes because it can spiral out of control and have consequences.
11073199
The implication I was going for was that the Officer was in the action, but this was not an official police sting.
The cop isn't playing judge and jury: Luna brought him in to make the CMC see how serious their actions are, but he isn't handing down an official judgment: just delivering punishment.

I don't think I wrote the story as Sunset giving them "blank check" forgiveness.
Sunset, as Gilda suggested, is giving them a task they need to do to earn their trust back, just as she had to earn her trust back with chores. Sunset knows they still care about her, considering they mourned her "murder."
11077576
It's her trust they have to earn back yes?
11078340
Yes.
And the story didn't end with them getting sudden forgiveness.
Despite what people say.
11078344
I figured that was the case from the get go.
Talk about a very sad moment indeed.
She's toast! 😰
Just hearing this makes me want to slap those three in their faces for what they did.
Great, take her away officer.
😨 He, he just killed her?!?!?!!?? Guess that death note was true alright. 😰
It. Was. A. Prank! I swear I almost had a heart attacking right now. (I didn't but the scene still shocked me).
It's just f'd up if you ask me.
Yep, that's exactly what they did Luna, and it has just made things worse. 😠
Yep, yes they are.
That's actually a good punishment ngl.
It's gonna be hard if you ask me. 😬
That's why've she came, I thought she was gonna beat her help. Guess now but damn.
Well that's good. I guess... 🙄
Yes, yes you did. 😐
Impressive
Damn. 😯
Thank goodness 😊
She has a good point there you five girls broke and suffered the pain on what would become later om.
That's actually not a bad idea when you really think about it. 🤔
She's right.
Didn't see that one coming but at the same time I think it's a good thing for sunset to do. 😊
That's a thing, a book on torture techniques?
Interesting
11077576
You've completely missed the point I was trying to make; Garda cannot hand out a community service punishment as the CMC have not been convicted of anything. Only a judge or a magistrate can issue such a punishment in response to a guilty verdict from a jury.
11081183
I never said he was acting as a magistrate.
He has given them a punishment on behalf of the school, not the government.
This story feels familiar. Did you take it down and recently repost it here?
11085143
Yes. I realized it could do better and so I republished it.
11075421
Personally if you say sorry and do your best to make things right then the rest is up to the person you hurt. She tried to be better than she was not that they were giving her a full chance considering they were always kinda leaving her on the sidelines and giving her a hard time over the she demon incident.
This was more streamlined then the old story.
I’m surprised that there wasn't a scene of Bon-Bon calling RD a hypocrite. Cause I mean wow! Rainbow gives this amazing speech about loyalty and not abandoning your friend when they done something wrong and not long after that, she straight up abandoned Sunset just like that, and the rest of the girls followed.
You would think after what happened with Quick, they would have considered the possibility of Sunset being framed, but nope. I mean seriously, Quick hurt AJ so bad that he tramautize her, and RD still wanted to be his friend. She believed Sunset was the one posted AJ’s nickname and abandons her instantly.
I really wish there was a scene of Bon Bon talking to RD. Rainbow talk big to her for abandoning her friend, who was believed to have committed attempted murder and She goes and do the exact same thing but on a
weaker and lesser scale.
Truly the worlds biggest hypocrite.
Just to remember, two wrongs don't make a right and that's an existing phrase with a LOT of meaning behind it.
Pretty good, though wish there had been some added scenes of showing Applejack trying to make amends with Strawberry Sunrise (I assume their conflict came from Strawberry badmouthing her family's apples), Rarity with Suri Polomare (granted they're still on opposite teams in Friendship Games but still), and Fluttershy with Fleur de Lis (wonder what she did considering her lack of history with Fluttershy in the pony counterparts the same way Strawberry has with Applejack, Suri with Rarity, and Gilda with Rainbow Dash).
