I loved it.

"Each of the pair had extra heads and six limbs, to show their true opposition to conformity, and they dug all twelve of their hooves into the carpet."
...Huh. Metaphor too dense for me to see through here, or actual magical alteration, I wonder?

(You know, I also wondered at first just what a shop was doing selling apparently both modern music and old spellbooks... but then I remembered: Equestria. :D)

"She pointed at her with a muzzle."
A muzzle? Not her muzzle?

"In that picnic basket was exactly three things"
"In that picnic basket were exactly three things"?

"Twilight’s moved quickly"
Missing word, or extra "'s"?

"and the snap snap of her"
Seems quite likely deliberate doubling, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

"know what you when we’re"
"know what you do when we’re"?

Beautiful. :)
I'm smiling quite a bit at that ending. :)

edit:
...And then as I was Favouriting the story, I saw the title again, and thought of the shop's combination again. Nice. :D

I give this story five star-crossed lovers out of five.

Fantastic!:pinkiehappy: Thank you very much!

This was...

This was beautiful. I keep forgetting how beautiful romance stories and your writing can be, and then you write something like this and i'm blown away all over again.

Thank you for writing this. Thank you for writing this so much, dude.

Wow. Fantastic piece. I loved every second of it. I don't know how you do it, but please never stop.

Leave it to the mare who spends the majority of her time in the library to fall for a pony who never speaks. An excellent romance all around.

Sometimes, it just takes someone who lives for words that are not spoken to hear the one who cannot speak them.

dammit Jaxie, why did you hide a cut onion in here where all the dust can get into my eyes

Vinyl becoming frantic and suddenly 'verbose' was riveting. It's the perfect example of the shy and confident sides of a relationship meeting in the middle. What's left unsaid is tragic too. Is vinyl using her status and disability as a crutch, to not even put herself out there enough to mention MD to Octavia?

It was... something. A very rare pair, and you were able to make it work! Nothing excessive and at the same time very romantic.

Very cute story. I love seeing writers trying to make extremely rare pairings like this work.
