I woke up not in a land of technicolor ponies, but within the lands of their dreams. They had no protector, no one to stave off the nightmares and keep them safe. So I took on that role, and watched over them as if they were my own.
Until recently, when their previous protector finally came back.
A thousand years ago, the Protector of Dreams, Princess Luna was banished to the moon. And tonight she finally returned.

If you wrote it out of a sense of obligation I wouldn't continue, but if you enjoy it then I think I might happily read about what happens when Little Nemo ends up in Equestria.

Yeah, but the whole overarching plot in the Little Nemo comics is about trying to keep things normal, while they just go further and further south, like trying to hold a cork underwater. And the movie was all about locking up all the nightmares in one tiny little place... it doesn't go well.
