Sunset Shimmer is having a bad night. She turned into a demon, was forcefully turned back, and now has to deal with all the people she's wronged in the past. As luck would have it, it seems her demon self isn't done with her either.

Can the power of friendship overcome this maniacal creature, or is Sunset Shimmer doomed to bring death and destruction to everyone she meets?

With the flow of magic between Equestria and the world that Sunset Shimmer calls home now permanent, the once magicless pony regains her abilities, and uses it fully to fulfill her wishes and desires.

As Sunset juggles school, a social life, and trying to keep the forces of evil at bay, she soon realizes that the pressures of all three while concealing her secret for her own safety can bear down on a girl.

Life at Canterlot High has been going pretty well for Sunset Shimmer ever since the Fall Formal... well, as well as it can when most students are still giving her side ways glances and expecting her to break bad any second. Still though life seemed relatively normal, that is until her friends start noticing changes in how she looks and acts, that only seem to be getting worse. Now Sunset must venture back to Equestria and beyond in order to find the parents she never knew in order to find the answers to exactly who or what she is.

Still trying to find her place in the world Sunset Shimmer returns to Equestria in order to right the wrongs she committed there, however she finds it difficult to adjust back to the Pony lifestyle after being gone for so long. Then suddenly a masked villain captures Twilight, forcing Sunset Shimmer to lead the gang in order to save her as well as face her original sin.
